Red is a major win condition, Lich + Heartless Summoning + Priest of Urabask = infinite mana. This is why there are all the X cost spells.

Ex. Turn 2 Summoning
Turn 3 Lich
Turn 4 Game win from Priest + Red zenith/Devil's Play/Increasing Confusion

It's a REALLY bad combo, but it's there.

This deck might as well be called "Nukes, Nukes, and Nukes."

Number one, lolololololololololololololololololololololol at your side board. I hope you actually thought of a game that you need to side in 15 more removal spells in addition to four Pulses and four Vapors.

Number two, no one drops!? I honestly think Student of Warfare is better than Leech, but I can see why you'd go like this.

Number three, the top of your curve is five mana, of which there are only four cards. I think you can safely drop to 24 lands.

Recommendations:

-1 Terramorphic Expanse
-1 Abyssal Persecutor
-1 Maelstrom Pulse
-1 Consuming Vapors
+4 Students of Warfare

That's an 'I hate you' creature from one to five mana, what more could you ask for?

Side note: Besides having less double mana drops.
Side note two: This is just me, but I'd drop Sign in Blood for Momentous Fall. Yes, I know that means that you'd have all three colors with double symbols. But think about it, Fall...on Persecutor, Fall....on Persecutor. You know you want to.

It's basically aggro with super powerful removal. Typically midrange, it has a lot of strong cards but ends of being very punishing to play. Unlike other decks, The Rock lets you know that you screwed up, because you lose.

I have to agree with BigBruce on the CIPT lands, they really slow you down.

Also, Knotvine Paladin would like you to know that he loves Awakening Zone.

Personally, I'd put counters in your deck instead of eating Days. And you say you're on a budget, but have Rafiq, Elspeth, and Noble Hierachs in your deck, making me wonder where Knight of the Reliquary could be. Can't say I'm a fan of Garruk in an Exalted deck, I'd probably put in Behemoth Sledges instead.

I really don't think your two Bushwhackers are worth it. Replace with Student of Warfare?

I'm guessing that's why he has Tezzeret.

Look at his mana curve, every card costs one mana.

Students of Warfare are too good to be a two of. Other wise....I've never seen a deck that makes Scythe Tiger really good.

I feel like you don't have enough counters. The deck completely runs on the Filigree Sages, who are right in Bolt range.

If you don't like the idea of adding more counters, try Hedron Field Purists. They work well with your Training Grounds and might eat some removal.

Take out two swamps and put in two Tectonic Edges.

Dknight, I'm guessing the deck is supposed to be standard, so Kird Ape wouldn't work.

While some of the cards could change, my biggest thing is the mana base. 8 white sources, 10 green sources, and 12 red sources. However, you have 8 red symbols total, 9 green symbols, and TWENTY THREE white, not to mention that Students level on straight white on top of that.

I think Gideon is terrible in this deck.

Honestly, I'd take him out, drop a path, and put in one more Vengevine and two Oblivion Rings.

Pridemages need to be somewhere.

26 Land? 5 Mountains!? You have 5 red mana symbols in the entire deck.

Too much random crap to cascade into from ardent plea. I'd put in walls of denial instead.

Sanctum Gargoyle? You have open the vaults, take it out and put in the fourth open.

Four o-rings and days please.

Sejiri Steppe for....what?

Nix the treasure hunts, put in the discard sphinx.

I'd probably put a couple negates mainboard.

To the both of you, the blue is in there for Mirror-Sigil Sergeant. I'm not sure how good of a combo it would end up being, but it's definitely something interesting.

But actually, why not Sejiri Merfolk? It's a soldier, and if you have a plains it's first strike and lifelink.

For that matter, deft duelist is pretty good too.

Only three Gatekeepers? You're underestimating them.

First off, sideboard the Disfigures for Boros Bushwhackers. You should also have some Deathmarks in your sideboard.

For some real fun, add in Crypt of Agadeem, Fleshbag Marauder, and Consume Spirit. Creatures in your graveyard suddenly become fuel for some pretty hard hitting spells.

Of course, Lilliana/Sorin would be useful, but I think kind of low tier to be honest.

It seems really slow. I think you either need something like Wall of Denial, Fogs, or Days of Judgment to keep yourself going till you can start dropping stuff.

Elvish Piper may also be worth considering.

Jace doesn't feel very good for the deck to be honest. Four Fonts seems crazy to me personally. I'd replace the Warps with Silences, because they have enough cards in hand already and that would force discards. Also, why does no one throw Trap Maker's Snares in these kinds of decks? Instant deck search for either of your traps.

Yeah, the panoramas suck.

Naya Charm is one of the best Charms. Don't forget that you can use it as a mini sleep as well as removal.

Considering the sheer amount of creatures I think Vines is kind of weak. You don't have any particular creature you are desperately trying to protect, so you're really using it for the kicker.

I love the Thoctars though. Dumping a 5/4 for three mana is always a scary drop. The Landfall guy are terrible blockers and Mr. Woolly definitely makes up for it.

FOUR HARROWS!

And I love the zero expeditions.

SQUIRRELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the deck, but, 28 lands with this mana curve?

You might also want to consider Coat of Arms and Eldrazi Monument.
