Quick word: I am relatively new to MTG. 4 weeks playing tops. Just a deck im playing around with for FNM Standards. I'm sick of having to rebuild this deck or maintain another exalted deck for Modern. Im trying to balance this with enough punch to finish, but enough defence (whether by spells or creatures) to make it to middle game. Deck will only include cards from M13, Dark Ascension and other series compatible with standard/tournament. I'll be entering into FNM & Standard's with this deck as of this week, any changes will be updated in the description before I modify the deck so I can get some feedback on my choices. Duty-Bound Dead and Tormented Soul would be excellent additions to the deck in terms of 1 mana monsters. Angel's Mercy, Pacifism, and Duskmantle Prowler seem to be the cards that do not help the deck, due to high mana cost or insufficient abilities. Add some more O-rings, and some Knights of ______ (Glory and Infamy), and you will have a pretty solid Exalted deck.

I would drop 2 plains and 2 swamps and add cathedrals of war. and I agree with the above comment in terms of tormented soul but not so much duty-bound. After my experience with this deck and seeing a late draw duty-bound isn't bad, but more of the time you want something more game changing. I would drop the essence drains as they don't help too much because of the mana cost. I would recommend doom blades or go for the throats in place of murders as well until they rotate. also drop 1 nefarox, i have found 3 to be too much and drawing into him early game doesn't help. In terms of liliana, I like her, but she doesn't really help here in the synergy of this deck. I recommend Ajani, Caller of Pride and Sorin, Lord of Innistrad. and I don't ever see the need for vigilance with the exalted creature as you will most of the time be attacking with only one creature, instead of the rings, I would recommend spirit mantle.
Thanks a lot for the advice :) Ive taken a fair bit on board but I really want to use as little outside of DA, M13 as possible.
remove essence drain and put essence harvest instead... add more removals like Tragic slip / Gftt. you need a full set of knight of glory and infamy.. those 2 drops really help boost your exalted creatures and the prot from W/B is priceless. remove 1/2 Nefarox, add 2 Cathedral of war. use only 8 Swamps, 6 Plains 4 Isolated Chapels. and perhaps add 2 more Evolving wilds. Remove Akroma and Ring of Thune, add more creatures and removals.. remove Liliana and put Ajani. one impt thing: Add 3 or 4 Silverblade paladin - its the best creature on any exalted deck! could be lethal by turn 4/5. you can check my version of BW Exalted deck. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=367173
This is a great deck, and I have a few suggestions: 1. Add some Duty-Bound Dead and Tormented Soul (you have no 1 mana cards) 2. Start sideboarding, put 2 Doom Blades in the deck and the 2 murders in the sideboard. 3. Remember that Standard (standard = allowed in fnm) is Scars of Mirrodin all the way up to M13. Thanks for the advice. I have looked at the cards from all the way back to scars of mirrodin and nothing really stands out as helpful. I've left some feedback as well :)
VERY IMPORTANT: You need more Duty-Bound Dead and Tormented Souls. Exalted is meant to be a fast deck and you can't have a fast deck with only three 1 drops.
