Um, are you trying to use City of Solitude trying to prevent the opponent from paying the costs? Because it doesn't work that way. I do like the cards in this deck; the only problem I see is that your opponents will just start holding up mana. CIty of Solitude doesn't really do a whole lot here - in fact, it kind of rubs against Crystal Shard and Erratic Portal. Heck, even Defense Grid is more flavorful for this deck.

It actually does work that way. I've tried this out on xmage and Cockatrice and it works exactly the way it should.
Ah, I see, it prevents them from tapping their lands for mana . . . point taken
