Deck Description

MUD deck for modern. Simian Spirit Guide and Gemstone Caverns to potentially land a turn-1 Chalice for One, then trying to lock out my opponent with Trinisphere and Lodestone Golem while making my artifacts easier to cast with Etherium Sculptor.

I would like more mana accel, especially on turn one, but with chrome mox being banned it seems Caverns (when on the draw) and Spirit Guide are my best options. I am not keen on cutting my disruption to put a wurmcoil engine on the table a turn faster, but if players experienced with this type of deck have any advice, I would love to hear it.

The deck is pretty similar to the legacy version, but without some powerful lands like ancient tomb/city of traitors and some artifacts like metalworker and mox diamond. I really just wanted to see if it was viable in modern, and since I am not experienced in the format, I'd like to hear if there's anyone out there who has tried to build a MUD deck in the format.

comments and advice would be appreciated. It seems no one comments on my artifact-heavy decks, probably because mtgvault lumps in all artifacts under the "artifacts" heading, even though they are creatures and lands as well, and the deck looks thrown together and unorganized. I would really appreciate some feedback, thanks!
