Nothing causes more butthurt than counterspells on creatures. The deck revolves around getting Mystic Snakes involved in disrupting everything your opponent holds sacred. Once a Mystic Snake is on the board, Momentary Blink, Restoration Angel, and Familiar's Ruse keep the Mystic Snakes flowing. Blinking a Reveillark to resurrect 2 Mystic Snakes to counter 2 spells is the cat's pajamas. Venser, Coiling Oracle, Snapcaster, and Plaxmanta are also fun targets for Blinks and Restos. Fetch lands thin down the deck and satiate the complex mana costs. This is a CASUAL MODERN deck that will frustrate most decks you encounter. It is, however, extremely pricey for casual. Feel free to provide suggestions.
Turn 1: Play a Birds if in hand. Fetch lands will search out the lone Forest to save you some life. Pay close attention to your opponent's 2-drops. Spell Snares should be ready to be boarded in if you see anything nasty at 2.Turn 2: Coiling Oracle! Very fun card.Turn 3: Hopefully you have ramped to 4 mana and have a Mystic Snake or Venser ready. Pass the turn and be ready to cast them. The wheels are in motion at this point. You have a slew of cards at your disposal to cast very cheap chains of counters on ensuing turns. Reveillarks and Restos should have little trouble flying over empty boards.
