Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This is sort of a self-mill deck, but it focus more on drawing cards rather than put them into your graveyard.

How to Play

Start out with drawing as many cards as you can. Don't worry if you don't have "Laboratory Maniac" in your opening hand, you will most likely draw him soon enough.

"Font of Mythos" makes you draw cards faster, and with "Notion Thief" in play you will even draw cards in your opponent's turn, while preventing your opponent from drawing cards from "Font of Mythos".

Jace's ultimatum is also great, and with all the walls protecting him you can draw 20 cards quite fast. Just make sure that you have "Reliquary Tower" in play so that you don't need to dicards cards from your hand.

"Soul Ransom" gives you creatures, since this deck's creatures basicly is for protection, stealing your opponent's creatures is a fun tactic. At the same time "Soul Ransom" can give you cards, while your opponent lose them.

Once you have the cards you need try using "Whispering Madness" ciphered on "Invisible Stalker". This can also mill your opponent while you deplete your own library.

If you should lose "Laboratoyr Maniac" or some of your great defenders, try using "Death Denied" to bring them back. And if there are spells that try to ruin your plans, use "Dissolve" or "Dream Fracture". "Dream Fracture" is also great if you want more cards.

If you have the mana, finish the game off with "Enter the Infinte" and a draw spell or two. Don't forget "Laboratory Maniac"!!! Try to avoid playing him until you feel it's neccessary.

Deck discussion for Library Maniac (Self-Mill)

Here are some options to develope your deck in other directions:

1: More enter the infinite + shelldock isle. Demands that your deck mills a lot more.

2: Mesmeric orb + fatestitchers = mill your deck.

3: leveler. It costs 5 and removes your deck.

No problem.

I know from testing my mana extensively that with 24 lands the maximum amount of taplands preferrable is 2.
So you have too many taplands for your own good.

Hmmm, ok, thanks, I'll test my deck with less taplands then :) But what about Watery Grave??? Is it considered a tapland?

Only if you don't want to pay the life! So watery grave is a go.

Darkslick shore is go as well to a certain point of view, but depends on how your deck plays out. My own linked deck usually kills at turn 4-5 which happens mainly with 3-4 lands, so if my 4th land is a darkslick shore I lock myself down at a vital time. I need to use every mana at all time...

I have been thinking quite a bit on adding forbidden orchard because it can be fun if I get mesmeric orb in play, but this would demand that I might also use leyline of singularity in main.
