Deck Description

This is the updated version of my current Temur Ramp list. This deck is built to utilize a number of mana ramp "power plays" that are present in Standard and have been proven effective. 7 mana is a hugely important number for this deck, as it activates Stormbreath Dragon's Monstrous ability, plays Savage Knuckleblade with haste while holding up enough for either of his other abilities, and most obviously, hard-casts Hornet Queen.
This deck's most likely concerns revolve around dedicated aggro archetypes, as well as perhaps a deck that ramps into something like Ugin, who, while an option in this deck, is less effective for a deck that doesn't position for a long, controlling strategy.

How to Play

Ideally, this deck opens up with either a "1-3" (Elvish Mystic, Courser of Kruphix/Savage Knuckleblade) or a "2-4-6/7" (Elvish Mystic/Sylvan Caryatid, Frontier Siege, See the Unwritten/Hornet Queen) ramp play, and attempts to ride that board state to victory. Courser of Kruphix and Kiora are both in this deck primarily for consistency, as they help to hit lands and (In the case of Kiora) provide additional ramp if the primary plays prove impossible.

I'm hoping it at least has some potential. The synergies seem there, and being able to hard-cast Hornet Queens makes me feel like a playset of See The Unwritten is viable. That said, I was talking to a friend of mine who is of the opinion that they'd rather be playing a Planeswalker like Nissa at 6 mana. I guess the question there is about whether the potential for hitting Hornet Queen, combined with the potential for a Ferocious trigger on See The Unwritten makes the card worth running. Only time will tell I suppose.
