Out of all the magic tribes, I have always had a soft spot for sphinxes. For one, they have awesome etb's, are very mystical, and are intrinsically blue in their flavor. In essence, they strive for wisdom and balance. And what better commander to lead a sphinx army than Unesh. Let's break him down...Unesh is a 6 mana 4/4 flyer that does two things 1. makes your sphinxes cost two less and 2. whenever you cast a sphinx, reveal top four, opponent makes 2 piles (one to hand one to grave). For a blue tribal commander what more could we want? He gives us card advantage and cost reduction. Another appealing reason to build sphinx tribal is that it is very budget to build. Minus Consecrated Sphinx ( an EDH staple), most all sphinx cards are super budget. Most of the money from this deck comes from support cards (caged sun, gauntlet of power, sapphire medallion). Also included in this deck are ample mana rocks to get Unesh out early and plenty of counter magic for those dreaded board wipes. The main win-con is to swing face with a bunch of sphinxes, but you could also rite of replication stormtide leviathan and if there isn't an answer to that it's game over pretty much.
