Deck discussion for Ally Mill

Replace tome scour with shriekhorn.
I've done extensive tests on shriekhorn and it mills four point something on an average meaning that on average it mills between 4-6 cards if you play for 4 turns. Given the amount of creatures you have you should be able to enter long games and the shriekhorn will be even better.

I can also recommend that you start using echoing truth which can bounce your cheapest allies to recast them for more mill. Alternatively you may bounce shriekhorns for more mill as well and finally you will have a way of dealing with tokens.

Thanks for the tip. Shriekhorn was originaly dissmiss as being to slow since I was running Vision of Beyond but that was removed after play testing.

Echoing Truth sounds very good but I'm not sure were it can fit in this deck. I taught of maybe 2 amoeboid changeling since they are only procs and have the same mana cost. Or maybe removing some or all Archive trap (keeping them for side deck). Do you have another suggestion?

Archive trap is a good pick to remove since it mainly does not work well without support from ghost quarters or path to exile. Remove 2 or 3, just to make opponent's think you play 4.

Also add æther vial or cavern of souls or both. You may also consider mutavault.

I just removed Archive trap entirely. I'm not a big fan of keeping a single too fake the quadra.

Would sword of body and mind work in this deck?

Probably not. You don't attack much.

Again, arguing for some nonbasic lands :D

Merfolk decks can exist on only 12 islands + various tasklands (Like mutavault and cavern of souls)

Think what mutavault could do with seagate loremaster!!!

If you splashed green for collected company...
also it would i think it would be good if you played some cards like ghostly flicker or essence flux to benefit from the etb effects.
