Deck Description

Is EDH too expensive for you? Wanna play a fun deck that doesn't cost a fortune? Then allow me to introduce you to....Poor Man's EDH. For under $75 you can own a cool, powerful, and fun EDH deck that isn't too limited. I'd like to begin with the fact that I took my $75 budget over the edge with a $91 (?!?) price tag. I only strive for what I'm passionate about, and a Demon EDH deck has been on my mind for years. Now, with all the pieces in place, I'd like to share that this will probably be one of the only decks that pushes the budget this far, but I'll be damned if I take a single card out. On this Poor Man's Edh, we go to Hell. Some demons decided to follow us on the return trip home. Let's not disappoint our new friends, shall we? Let's go burn and kill everything in sight.

How to Play

Big creatures aren't a first for EDH, that's no lie. But telling you I've never turned off my lights and put some horns on my head pretending I'm a demon would be. So, in the spirit of PURE EVIL, let's get down to business. Your main Demon engine will be Shadowborn Apostles and Shirei, sacking all the apostles and getting them back with style, but the primary concern here is getting all the pieces. Plenty of draw power, like Temple Bell and Spiteful Visions, help keep the cards coming, and a few Tutor cards do a little bit more extra. Your kill spells, like Dreadbore and Hero's Downfall, will also stall for time and eliminate any pesky threats. Then, when you get either the apostles or the mana, it's time to UNLEASH HELL ON EARTH! Demons like Defiler of Souls and Overseer of the Damned not only produce huge threats but drop huge threats as well, while Demons like Bloodgift Demon and Sire of Insanity keep the hands of all in your favor. The best part of the deck is it's general, because you can honestly pick between two! Malfegor is a powerful demon dragon who throws your hand away to force your opponents to kill off their armies, while Rakdos powers out Demons like nobody's business. Demons are some of the scariest beings in the multiverse, and after you play this deck, everyone will remember why.
