Deck Description

Needs a better name :P

You can skip green and place Uncanny Speed + Fling into deck if you want to :)

Thanks to cards that make your creatures unblockable or difficult to block (Teleportal, Artful Dodge, Mugging, Hidden Strings, Ral Zarek) your opponent should better have his removal ready or he loses on turn four on average.

How to Play

You can cast Hidden Strings, then target your lands to make it "free". Use the copy from the Cipher to pump your creatures even more or untap lands.

Armed gives double Strike, which combos nicely with Hidden Strings since it will create a copy after the first strike.

T1 Blistercoil Weird (1/1)
T2 Hidden Strings (Weird is 2/2), untap your lands, Armed (Weird is 4/4 double strike), attack, Hidden Strings triggers (Weird is 5/5), play Giant Growth (Weird is 9/9), Hidden Strings triggers (Weird is 10/10), play Blood (Weird is 11/11).

4 damage from first strike, 9 damage from second strike, 11 damage from Blood -> 24 damage.

Or a Turn 3 win
T1 Delver of Secrets (1/1)
T2 Flip (3/2), Giant Growth x2 (9/8) -> 9 damage (one Giant Growth is enough)
T3 Armed (4/3 double strike), Giant Growth (7/6 double strike) -> 14 damage

T1 Nivmagus Elemental (1/2)
T2 Hidden Strings, untap lands, Armed (2/3 double strike), exile Hidden Strings (4/5), exile Hidden Strings (6/7) -> 6 damage.
T3 Armed (7/8 double strike), exile Hidden Strings (9/10). -> Another 16 damage.

Or a Turn 4 win with less cards (more likely):
T1 Whatever
T2 Whatever
T3 Nivix Cyclops (1/4)
T4 Armed (5/4 double strike), Artful Dodge (8/4 double strike), Giant Growth (14/4 double strike) -> 28 damage.

...and probably quite a few other fast wins :)

Sideboard allows for some burn spells if your creatures can't get the damage in on their own.

Hidden strings cipher triggers when damage is dealt not on attack so it wouldent pump him up to deal damage cause damage has already been dealt.

Please read again, he has double strike so it triggers after the first strike. The second one is untaping lands to cast Blood which has nothing to do with the combat phase.

not to rain on you parade or anything but i don't think the doublestrike will work the way you think it does. If i understand it correctly you do get 2 triggers off of the Hidden strings, but you can't cast the giant growth during the combat damage step. you would have to wait untill after combat damage is complete. Still doable thought. 4+5+11=20.

Also if you wanted to go with R/B you could do the same. Just replace giant growth with Uncanny Speed and the Fless//Blood with a fling. You lose your mana elf but makes it eisier to build if you don't have the shocks.

May i also suggest Fluxcharger. More expensive but has flying give a potential 4 point power swing and makes a decent blocker.

This combo will happen less then 10% of the time, the deck really won't hold water against any capable aggro, esper, or any other type deck. You most likely won't have the creature to hit with, not get the hidden strings which is key - or something with counter a key aspect of your combination without you having something to protect yourself for a long game. It does look cool if it could work...maybe you end up having a niv magus elemental strong enough to retain defense....and maybe between that and the cyclops you could hold off an aggro deck for a successful attack...though I doubt it.

The deck isn't meant to be used for tourneys, it's mostly to showcase a budget turn 2 win in standard, hence the name.
