That is the primary combo of the deck, Garruck's packleader and Tempered steel.

Psychosis crawler is just a nice boost.

Garruck's packleader allows you to draw a card anytime a creature with power 3 or greater comes into play. When tempered steel is in play, all artifacts gain +2/+2. So a creature entering the field of play as a 1/1 when the enchantment isn't in play would come into play as a 3/3 when it is.

This would mean that memnite, all of myrsmith's tokens and Master's call would all proc Garruck's packleader with one Tempered steel in play. With two tempered steels, all signal pests and Ornithopters will proc it.

Well seeing as its all standard legal with the exception of the myr retriever, maybe Elixir of immortality might be a better call? It won't bounce it back to your hand like the salvage scout would, but you would still get the artifact proccing your myrsmith's, not to mention getting a second go round with your lightnings.

How would it work if the myr had trample from some other effect?

I like it, would it be worthwhile to have any means of bringing your sacrificed artifacts back to your library or hand? I am not accustomed to aggro type decks. What I would worry about is the ferrovore getting blocked and then running out of artifacts. But I don't know if that is something I shouldn't be worrying about.

I agree with the 4 explore. Maybe add adventuring gear. Or one stompy creature with landfall.

I would swap out your Kalastaria highborns for the Blade of the Bloodchief.

Also, what purpose is fling serving in your deck? Are you flinging a creature that you've pumped up with blade of the bloodchief? If thats the case then your blades should stay where they are. I REALLY like that combo.

But if that is the case, I would still try to get the Kalastaria Highborn in there somewhere.

I do like the abyssal persecutor, what would you cut for it?

I did cut the Guul Draz Vampires, in favor of mortician's beetles. I really don't know why I wasn't running them in the first place.

Actually after checking out rmathis410's deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=161462
The slavering null complete's the same task that I had for the guul draz specter but with a better mana cost.

This allows me to get my opponent down to 0 cards sooner. I increased the number of removal to ensure the nulls can get by unblocked. I then took my own advice that I posted on his deck.

Both of those are great calls, once I get time I am going to take a good look at what else to splash in with blue.

Well, the primary source of life gain I had in the previous deck was from venser's journal. I plan on drawing TONS of cards with this deck. White Sun's Zenith, with one honor of the pure and Garruk's Packleader out will allow you to draw X cards. So, as I gain more mana I gain more creatures and more cards, and thus more life. Basically every turn I tap out my mana, either on luminarch or White Sun's Zenith.

The elixir I have in there to primarily refill my draw pile. I am dropping 1 explore for 1 luminarch.

So couple questions, first why do you keep Demonic Appetite in this deck, when you could have Blade of the bloodchief?

Is the 2 mana cost to get it out and onto a creature that bad? (It may really be, I just don't know.)

I didn't know this deck existed when I built this deck, but I was curious if you could give me a critique. Its basically a standard Black and Green Sacrifice deck. Red is splashed in for control, and it was my answer for early blightsteel. Anyways here it is

So then would you drop the Felidar Sovereign then as well? If so what to add? I was thinking of dropping an explore.

My reasoning for only having 2 Luminarch ascensions, is that once I get one out, a second one doesn't serve a purpose. But it would be good to get it out early...

Also why the extra elixir?

Well I like it. I always disliked the Shape a new Blightsteel decks.

It really more depends on how she's used I am basically using her +1 ability to give me a sacrificial pawn every turn.

Bring out Nissa's chosen, sacrifice it to generate an eldrazi spawn, give a creature +1/+1 (+2/+2 if its a vampire) and either scry or add a counter to culling dais. If a butcher of malakir is out, my opponent will also be forced to sacrifice a creature.

I also now feel like an idiot... I had the shoreline salvager in there for the card draw... lol, input on whether or not adding an island or two to the deck? Or just remove the salvager, if so what do I replace the card draw with?

For now I am adding 2 Islands in lieu of 2 swamps

Skithiryx, no. I should be able to win before then, and if I haven't I don't think Skithiryx would make a difference, and I think it would make less of a difference compared to having flesh-eater imp and a Nomad's assembly. As for Hand of Praetors, that may well be a good addition. I will debate that one. Definitely it is at least going in the sideboard for now.

That is the comment of sacrificing tokens. I wouldn't use them until late no matter what. I can ALL the tokens generated to the flesh eater imp, and pump it up, along with whatever has the blade of the bloodchief equipped. In otherwords, my late game win.
