Deck Description

Okay, so maybe I would've been better off going for a commander like Kaalia, but I don't like her, and it's about time this 4/7 vigilance angel got some time in the public eye.
The aim of this deck is largely removal, as such it does a pretty good job of sitting on the board, maintaining lifegain and eliminating opposing threats (which can be later brought back with Tariel).
I thought it would be interesting to try, mainly because I've always loved the art for Tariel and I think that Wayne Reynolds did a lovely job - that, and ever since I was a little boy I've longed to wreak havoc with an angelic crimson armour-clad anti-hero of a commander.
Okay, so maybe part of that was a lie...

How to Play

Basically, all you do is early game, drop all of the acceleration (keyrunes and signets) and lifegain creatures (Suture Priest, Soul's Attendant, Serra Ascendant, creatures with extort, etc) and allow the game to play out for a while, eliminating potentially big threats and juicy reanimation targets.
As this deck has few ways to draw cards, when you get late-game enough and have enough lands to know that you can play anything that you draw, drop Necrogen Mists, causing opponents to have to play cards or risk discarding them, potentially losing them to Tariel.

Deck discussion for Reckoner's Edict - Tariel EDH

I am actually working on my first edh deck and really like your idea. May I use it with some differences of course?:)

nice job, thought i would make room for grim lavamancer, dragon mage, and reforge the soul to really add in the whole discard affect to the game. they also give the deck a lil more power behind it.

Of course, you're welcome to use anything you see here!

@demonking28
I hadn't considered Reforge the Soul actually, but that'd be interesting, certainly... I tried it out today and definitely found it fun keeping my opponent's graveyards free from creatures. It'd be a good way to refill my hand and empty others >:D
