Because of the effects of Incandescent Soulstoke and Smokebraider, you're not limited to the colours your lands produce. I've seen a mono red build that runs non red elementals. A Doomgape off Incandescent Soulstoke is quite scary.

for this build I am focusing on fast and reliable damage. ill be making a soulstroke combo deck in the near future, and you're right, doomgape will be used.
