don't know if someone mentioned Primeval titan - 6 mana and 2 Lands when on Battlefield and 2 lands with every attack - might fit here
how about adding some black mana and using tutors to get faster to polymorph

channel or demonic tutor won't work - cards have to be 3 mana up because of the cascade ...counter - u are right, i thought the combo should come pretty early so i can wait till the other have their mana tapped....can i take all 3 mana from gemstone mine at once?
