on the other topic, i love the idea of the deck, and id love to see this get play, but i think theres too much to the combo for it to be played standard as tier 1, similar to grimgrim, gravecrawler, and rooftop storm, 3 piece combo thats mana heavy, you do have the heartless summoning for help though with that, that probably wont be seen too often, but will probably be in most decks. This is also rotating out soon too, which is kinda saddening because this would be absolutly great if it wasnt for dismembers.

id only do the priest of urabrask, becuase at that point its game,

take out 2 darkslick+catacomb for dragonskull summitsx2 and 2 mountains

take out probably 2 swamps for 2 more islands, mana base=fixed for red ish

i was gonna reccomend tempered sttel, but decided i dont want this to become a tier 2 decktype, and like it how it looks. Birthing pod is also unfitting unless you have a rage extractor out to just cause yourself damage

i looked at this, played some sample hands, and surprisingly, only 1 out of 9 hands were even decent enough for me to play, i was expecting it much more playable by surewhynot's comment. One thing i notcied was way too much white mana base. Always drew into white mana, and never any red, primeval took about 8 turns to get out due to things entering tapped so often, delvers were very good, snapcasters werent at all, but i personally dont like the card in standdard, its def a legacy card. Playing the 5 colors, i didn't feel nearly any red, just kessig's ability, which was very rare for me to be able to use effectively, if you have snapcaster in, cut out the black, theres literaly nothing for it other than a very few flashback abilities which is much cheaper with snapcaster, which you can always vaporsnag back to your handid rather have a vanillla island than a black blue land that has a chance to enter tapped.

I definatly liked it, but didnt think it had enough consistency on anything other than white mana gen, think about running one or two burning vengeances if youre running snapcasters?

minus the last month, and is banned in modern, and the combo didnt appear till halfway through it's lifespan anyways, lilianna's was decided before it was even released

i dont understand, there are not plains, why the emeria? its legit redudant, and a plain old plains would bet better than that because it could be searched for

it works in the same way as tunnel vision does, a card you should definatly check out looking at, it was from ravnica (non-standard obviously). Ill double check the updated database to see ruling on the mirror mad to make sure it does in fact work the way i said its supposed to

this would be absolutly great fun multiplayer. alot of my decks are slow, and most of the time i play with friends who know my decks, and i sit around for 6 turns dropping close to nothing and siting and they worry about eachother then i just rape randomly, this is something i feel like id enjoy playing multi, but probably never single because theres really only one target the opponent is playing against

because it is beccoming heavily relied on in a combo deck, thats the only reason why lilianna is different than most of the other once, although koth was run for a decent amount of time, valakut was eventually banned, some part of the combo will probably become banned at some point

1 thing: good old sunny can bring back lilly
needs the demon tutors from m12 (1 down, search for a phantasmal image, to phantasmal image that, to phantasmal image it again, to phantasmal image it again, and then get a sunny to bring back a lilly, and have them sac a creature, i say at least 2 of the demons

Lilly's price decreased de to supply and demand, supply is now going up as time goes by, thus the price will go down because not as many people will need them, so id say wait a while on the lillys, and at the rate wizards was going with banning, i feel like it might be joining jace

necrotic ooze wont work with mirror mad's ability, mirror mad is never found, necrotic ooze might, but the phantasm isnt, so all that happens is you show your enemy your entire deck because cards are not "discarded" they are revealed and then put into the graveyard, so the laboratory manic win con is just ehh, id run only 2 and put in 2 better cards, or just remove all 4 and you should win by the time you mill out thiat much, nice deck idea, lab maniacs dont really belong, keep spellskites and grimgrim for sure, not sure how i feel about the blood line keeper and skithyryx, although the haste and regen is very nice, i feel like you should be running more black mana

You need a general before you can really decide on what deck to make, for red black look at the ravnica/shadowmoore blocks, theres a few legendary creatures you can use from that, if youre thinking of splashing a third color, look at the alara block, and if you still cant find anything look back towards legends sets, or the from the vault legends set, theres more than likely some legend you would like in any of those.

Whenever i make an edh deck, i always start with my commander, then add the basic cards every deck should run, steeel hellkite, sensei's diving top, sol ring, lightning greaves, wormcoil engine, blightsteel or platinum emperion or platinum angel, or all three, then i decide to add cards that complement my general, finally i look for any land that would help the deck in the slightest, other than basic lands, dual lands, pain lands, fetch lands, effect lands, and then i add the rest in basic landsi usually have around 20-40 creatures total(depending on general) then about 35-40 lands, depending on creatures, then add spells that would be nice until im well over 100 cards, then remove cards i dislike during playtest down to 100 cards total inc gen
