Deck Description

my first black deck. needs some more cards. need some help. any ideas would be helpful!

How to Play

the more rats your have, the stronger Pack Rat is. Desecration Demon if you sack a creature he gets stronger, and if you sack a rat, or if a rat dies, Slumlord keeps replacing them all! if you kill one, 2 more are just gonna pop back up! its a cool deck. easily one of my favorite decks right now.
Beside that everytime a creature dies, blood artist does damage, and with Slumlord it would do twice the damage for each rat dead. also if i have a surplus of rats, i can play heartless summoning to kill them all off to do the damage i want to do. and again, it would be doubled with Slumlord.

Deck discussion for Rats Galore

marrow-gnawer
Pestilence Rats (although I guess pack rats are just better)
Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni maybe not because your mana and mana curve is low. Worth a look
Crypt Rats (have saved my life numerous times)
Squee, Goblin Nabob - I always run out of cards to discard for pack rat. This card solves that problem.
Adaptive Automaton - I've always loved him for mono-creature decks.
Undying Evil would work really well with Desecration Demon

Anyways, just some suggestions :)

I think he wants to play this in Standard and most of the ideas you gave him are non-standard.
Undying Evil wont work on the Demon though.

Hello. I'm relatively new to the game, but... I do have a few ideas for the deck.
You're constantly sacking creatures to make Blood Artist do damage and gain life, why not add in a few Bloodchief Ascensions and/or a Grave Pact or two.
They go great in most any black deck and from what you've explained your deck does, I think they would help.

as nice as the demon is, he doesnt go with the sac thing u think it does. each Opponent may sac not urself, however u could use some of the following cards.

altar's reap- sac draw 2 cards, pretty good imo.
bone splinters- sac and then destroy target creature
disciple of griselbrand-sac gain life equal to its defense
bloodthrone vampire- doesn't go with ur rat based theme but a good outlet when u need to sac.

hope that helps and welcomed to the world of Magic the Gathering!!!!

@ Demonking, i understand anyone could sac a creature for the demon. but i like him in here because he is a cheap demon, and its the little protection from flying i have in this deck.
@ifonly, i like the grave pact idea! it would do double the damage as well as clear the opponents field!
