Deck Description

AC/DC songs like 'Back in Black' 'Highway to Hell' and 'Black(night)Hawk down' can all be sung and I was getting really bored of 2 or 3 colour decks and expensive land so I made a quick kill deck, usually does amazingly at FNM beating most control, but watch out for board sweeps, that is a massive slow down for the deck!

How to Play

I Have 2 ways of winning with this deck, quick or quick. The first way is quickly get as many exalted triggers as possible and start smashing your opponent in the face. The second way, which usually beats Red deck wins (my local metagame), is to get a Tormented Soul out T1 and put Dark Favor on it T2. This screws over most people, and just to keep yourself alive put Mark of the Vampire on the Soul so he has Lifelink!

Deck discussion for AC/DC Back in mono-black

normally I don't care too much for exalted, as I think it is far too easy to get rid of single attacking creatures. but love the threat of tormented soul and vampire nighthawk. super effective card, particularly when pumped with dark favor or mark of the vampire.

burn seems like it could be a big issue here though. Out of curiosity, how did this beat RDW? what did /does your local meta usually run for it?

basically this was about 2 months before red deck wins, it was the start of Jund, Jeskai control and B/W soldiers, I took down all 3, the best combo is actually tormented soul + dark favour

I see that is the best combo, but anything with spot removal should have no trouble beating that at all. and RDW should be running lots of burn spells that can hit creatures as well as players.

Not that there is anything particularly wrong with this build. :) I have never really been able to create good Standard decks myself. closest that I came was a Selesnya populate deck that was semi-decent. never got the best cards for it either. :(

either way this deck gets a like from me.

Cheers, and yes it was crazy weak to removal, there is an updated version, surprisingly my opponents hardly ever drew removal! One time i went down comfortably to Jund in game 1, he massacred me, and he was apoligising, asking my age and the price of the deck, and i was pretty gloomy about the inevitable, sisnt show it cus thats bad form, and then i won the next 2 games, he didnt see a singel removal spell, game 3 i killed him with servant of nerferox xD
