Backlash is always an interesting one. I tried to do a deck like this a couple years back, but it just ended up being a regular r/b aggro burn.

Good luck with this one!

Mutagenic growth is here mainly to use on stigma lasher or monastery swiftspear for free letting me pyroclasm and not kill them...if I'm lucky enough to have that ready. Mainly I just use it because I want to be able to use my mana for other things.

I really like the kird ape idea, I'm gonna clone this deck and see what that looks like before changing it here.

This deck is really vicious in real play btw. With SB as it is now, I have enough stuff to put a stop to most aggro hate.

Glad you like it!

Also I'm suggesting you go for grixis.

And here's where I hand you the deck of mine that is more fun (for me) than any other deck I own.

It's not exactly what you're looking for, but I got some interesting card choices going on and it's fairly consistent.

Lol changes in! And I was really just waiting to see how much the deck would cost before adding the taiga's. I guess I misread Lava burst, clearly inferior to kaerveks torch.

Good call on wheel of fortune too!

If you're looking for stuff that you can just put in the graveyard right away, deaths shadow and memnite are solid. Wish I had a better suggestion than those because this is a very unique idea.

Yep, like both those. Didn't realize mox diamond was so cheap.

Ahh, I gotcha, if I see him come out, especially on turn 1, I'll usually always take the 4 life. Blessings was cool, but other than using it to protect thundermaw, it didnt really serve any other purpose. You're definitely right about stigma lasher too, adding him really cleaned up the deck. Sample hands look much nicer. Thanks again for taking a look at this one!

Going for a completely illegal deck this time, I was reminded about channelball recently and found it very refreshing. I'm going to have a go with my twist on it now. I'm wanting to keep it as a budget friendly version of the classic, that being said the deck is not finished yet so any and all suggestions are welcome!

Lol we've been playing together for years so we take it quite seriously.

Stigma lasher is a great one, even if I only use it for intimidation, it serves its purpose well. Now that being said if I can get a hit on someone with him, this deck will benefit greatly from that. I know there's the whole stigma with vexing devil and all, but he's served me well with every red build I've put him in so I gotta have him.

Really the only card I'm now reconsidering is thundermaw hellkite, he's a huge threat, but he's an even bigger target. Don't know what I can do about that though...at any rate I've now purchased this deck as is (SB included) and I'll be able to let you know how it goes this saturday!

One more deck I'd like you to take a peek at, it's not done yet so all suggestions are welcome. I'm going to be posting it to DHA soon as well.

So my group is getting back together after a long hiatus. We're going to do a casual sort of deck that can't have a combo, spending limit will be $120.
This is what I've thought of doing so far, it's a slower more casual approach at a mono red aggro with some more answers. Let me know what you think.

I understand drakeraenes point, but I also agree with puschkin...

Lol Barrens chat...

I think what we have now is perfect, yes we may be gathering a bit too many comments and we may get noticed at some point...but that person may be deserving of an invite... I honestly don't know where to draw the line. I invite people who have an earnest draw to knowledge for the game and who will contribute equally. Whether or not to make it public will need to be answered by a greater person than I...

Well since you mention it...this is a deck I play in legacy/vintage tournaments and actually see huge success with. I've finished top 8 now 10 or so times. All for $50!

No need to comment, it's just more of a suggestion for you to purchase if you're looking to break into the eternal format(s) and want to see some success without being broke.

Hope you enjoy!

I only found out about magic with Mirrodin in full swing and Darksteel about to drop. Even then I looked back at the older cards with wonder and awe....still do.

Lol I always feel that way when buying cards, never goes away...and I've been playing for quite some time... By no means is azorius charm bad btw, I just don't normally think of it, but if you're using it to put an attacker on top, it's brilliant.

Although expensive, Path to Exile is the best removal for white. On the same note though, I've often experienced that having more threats requires the opponent to focus more on using all of their answers, therefore, if you have more threats you don't need as many answers as you would otherwise.

If I had to recommend a new set of instants, it would be:
4 boros charm
4 path to exile
1 flying crane tech

Apostle's blessing is also killer for white decks. You can punch through for the final damage or save your big hitter.

KJSJ3 has got it. PAL is terrible if you can get it right. Having never built a deck myself I don't know exactly what you need though. I'd say of the two decks you have, If thou gaze... would probably be closer to what you want. That being said I haven't tested either one of those, just thoughts from a glance.

Cavern of souls is majority of that...but mentor has found a home in modern, vintage, and legacy as a staple in combo decks. Most of those like storm or POX can benefit fom mentor and amass a ton of tokens as their contingency plan. Sadly that raised the price drastically.

Also, the big trick in here is being able to sink all my mana into corrosive gale while rage extractor is out...it can be a doozy!
