He would fit perfectly if he wasn't so expensive haha definitely going in the SB though, thanks man!

How I missed your comment before, I do not know. Sorry. Thanks for that suggestion man!! I already put it in, it was a card I was looking at before in my other version of this deck; --> http://www.mtgvault.com/granflux/decks/constant-assault-junk/

It definitely has a place in the SB for now, until I find a way to fit it in it'll stay there. Perhaps eventually we'll get new versions of my 5 mana planeswalkers which will do nicely as replacements, but I tend to favor towards a pretty mana curve over anything else. Maybe I'll stack up on specific planeswalkers after more testing in order to make room, but as of yet I haven't played enough games yet to decide such. But thank you very much for reminding me of a BRUTAL way to play this deck hahaha

Haha lucky! Well maybe before you decide to sell either one of them, see if there's a cool deck idea you can come up with that uses more planeswalkers. Check out my abzan walkers for instance. You'd never expect it to work when looking at it, but they have a strange synergy together.

It's one of my best decks because nobody knows how to plan for it.

If that's what you gotta do haha I can tell you though that I've done that with some cards and then come up with a deck that they'd be perfect in and then I had to go and buy them lol but at the end of the day I completely understand

Lol yep midnight retraction alter combo. Very solid almost impossible to escape. My buddy calls it "How to lose a friend" haha I've faced it a couple times now, unless you're ready for it there's no excape, even then it's tremendously difficult to get around because it's soooo easy get everything you need. It's like playing tennis with a wall. Eventually the wall wins.

Haha well if this deck wasn't so expensive I'd get it myself. I actually have a golgari deck I've posted to you before that uses deaths shadow like crazy. You have varolz out along with corpsejack menace, play groundbreaker and scavenge deaths shadow making groundbreaker a 32/27 on turn 5 if I'm lucky.

Now I'm off to look at that mill deck!

Haha! That'd be pretty epic if you pulled that off. It could potentially be game on turn 5 I guess? What's the ideal way to pull this one off?

Unfortunately no, currently Star Wars The Old Republic consumes most of my time, between that and work (I do most of my magic at work shhh lol) I don't really have time for much else, although I may pick it up if SWTOR or magic taper off.

I don't think I have a single deck that's more than a year old except for that black one, although to be fair aside from dash hopes and vampire nighthawk there's nothing left of the original.

I know that feeling all too well, you always hope that a deck is good enough to last forever but it never happens hahaha

That sounds like a pretty serious deck. This one may work out better for you though, more diversity in your creatures which I think will play a big role in this.

Ouch. Doing one deck at a time is usually smarter anyways. Sometimes I get caught up working on too many concepts and they all run together so if I had just waited I would have spent far less money haha

So what ends up being the big threat? just constant assault from the woolys? lol

Alsooo this is a deck I've been working on for about 3 years, through many many versions of it I've found that this one is the most reliable, it has an answer for just about anything. The biggest update I made was when Ruric Thar was introduced, blind zealot is the answer to that. And you'll be able to go toe to toe with even the most absurd control deck, all for just about $30 depending on where you get the cards. For about $10 more you can do the whole side deck which makes it even more ridiculous.

I'd definitely say so. This looks like it'd be able to stand up to some severe punishment. From what I can tell looking at big boys, his deck seem to play fairly slow, not too many creatures out all at once, most of his support is from the mana that druid and knotvine make. He relies a lot on them both because he doesn't have enough mana acceleration to really pump out the big guys early game, so the sooner you can take them out the better. Xenagos and mighty emergence are the cornerstones of his midgame and mage slayer is obviously the finisher when attached to Ruric Thar. Did I miss anything?

I'll try to come up with some clever way to get some more removal in here, because you wont be able to draw shockmaw all the time...

Haha I love doing that, that's how some of the best games come about. He's got a pretty serious deck there, especially with Ruric Thar... He's such a mighty pain in the ass but if you already have Nyleas Bow out and you can manage to get in with Shockmaw he's had it. Brilliant strategy. If you know how his deck plays IRL you'll be the only one to suggest cards from here on out. So far though I'd say you stand a pretty good chance of going toe to toe with him.
