heres the secret to finding out just how much mana you need in decks.
30-32% in decks that require little to zero mana
34-36% in most decks (this one would be in this catagory)
38-40% in control decks and decks that rely heavily on mana

the only use of an bloodghast would be to block, they arent going to do 20 damage to your opponent solo, i cant agree with that call, i would say mind funeral would be a nice addition if you could find some room.

i had actually already tried making the same deck before i helped you on this one, take a look just so you have some other ideas when you start to actually play it.

looks fine-tuned now to me, the rest would come from actually playing it and finding its weaknesses and building from there.

oh yea, thought hemorrhage is another great card, though its not exactly a discard it still eliminates one thing from your opponents deck that may remove you.

theres only one way to play discard decks at FNM right now and thats to use the alara block, and as such
drop mindrot for blightning, terminate for flame slash, sign in blood for mire's toll, id probally try to put burning inquiry in here somewhere, ends up being 6 damage if you have a single lilianas caress down.
after that i dont have much off of the top of my head, gl.

i take that back it really does require another one drop after sitting here on the draw sample screen, couple ways to do this, sacrifice lategame and drop nirkana and sorin for a card like guul draz vampire/pulse tracker

or captivating vampire down to 2 bloodghast to 3 kalastria highborn down to 2 would work as well
or you can sac the highborn all together as shes best used in a combo like bloodthrone vampire + bloodghast + blade of the bloodchief + her, but thats just another option, either way just need to find room for one more 1 drop and you should be perfect

this deck should work now, id like to see one more 1 drop in there to help out the speed a tiny bit, but right now i cant find too much room for it, gl. just make sure you get those lands

you really need to read the cards before you comment, hexmage only kills enchantments, and qasali pridemage, the card i currently have in here, does both and has exalted.

oh yea, vampire nighthawk should be in there somewhere too.

im not seeing a large enough advantage to the amulet to really use it, swap spell pierce with cancel, OR spell contortion, cancel will cost 10 cents or less, contortion a little more. pacifism over guard duty. again will cost cents, thats about all i have for you in the budget deck range.

that room thing is an ass.

decent base, remove quag sickness and consume spirit, add feast of blood and grim discovery.
remove kalitas and anowon kalitas costs too much for what he gives, anowon will force you to kill your own persecutor off, replace with guul draz vampire x2.
replace liliana with your sorin, liliana is worthless in this deck as it is.
and then pick up 4x verdant catacomb and 4x marsh flats, this has great synergy with the grimdiscovery you will be picking up.

after all that you should be in the green.
