When I first saw this, I thought more blue/white cards were going to be involved, but I was happily mistaken. The idea is grand and the way you can execute it is even better. You've given me ideas for my own decks and for that I have to thank you. I have a similar deck to this, but mine is completely red.

Please take a look at it and tell me what you think.

Just to make things a bit easier, I would suggest you taking out the 6 drop 4/5 with deathtouch. You only have four multicoloured creatures in the deck total, so he honestly wouldn't help you that much. If you wanted, you could put in more multicoloured creatures and add the white version of him, that way it would make some sense.
Also, I find Vampire Warlord to be just awful. Very small things can take him down unless you give up another creature. From what I'm seeing the deck is meant to attack and drain life from the opponent, but there's too much fodder for the deck to be truly amazing. Try to find cards that would better suit your strategy and create alternatives if something happens.

Hello. I hope you enjoy the idea of the deck. I was only going for an infinite burn deck, but it kinda morphed into this. I'm still fairly new to magic and I'm still getting the play mechanics down, but I'm getting there. If you have any questions or suggestions for the deck, please comment. I enjoy all criticism and help that I get from others.
Also, if someone can tell me why this deck isn't legal in modern, that'd be very helpful. I've looked at every card and all of them say legal in modern, but the card legality section says it's only legal in Vintage and Legacy.
Thank you.

I'm still fairly new to Magic and have a lot of crazy ideas that I will try to express using this website. If you have any suggestions for the deck, or if you would like to criticize it, please do! All comments or suggestions will only help me get better at the game. Thank you.

I know you're not going for artifact win, but I currently have a mono blue deck that focuses only on draw power. It uses around... 6 artifacts total. Howling Mines and Psycosis Crawlers. These don't necessarily guarantee me the win, but they sure as hell help. I won 6 or 7 times in a row when using the deck. If you'd like, you could check it out, maybe get some ideas from it.
I also agree with the commenter above about the Artful Dodge. Brilliant card. Also, check out Inexorable Tide. Every time you cast a spell proliferate.

you could always throw in Master Transmuter 2-4. Cheap way to get expensive artifacts in early game. Darksteel forge is always an option for an artifact deck. Mycosynth Lattice. Unwinding Clock. Fabricate is an easy artifact finder. Just really depends on what you want to do with the deck.
Why do you have Blightsteel and not just Darksteel?

I'm relatively new to magic, so please, if you don't think it's a good idea, ignore me.
With Phyrexian Unlife, I believe if damage exceeds your life total, then you still get poison counters, and they stick. Have you considered throwing in Melira, Sylvok Outcast. She's a 2 drop 2/2, who states that you and creatures you control cannot be poisoned. Keep her alive and you may be able to stay alive when a creature tramples your life total down to zero and raises your poison counters up to 10.

I completely agree with the user above me. The deck doesn't really seem to focus on anything specific. Just has enough cards in it to make it a deck. It has creatures that can attack, but doesn't have a serious win condition. If it's a damage prevention, then put more palace guards in and other things. If it's a life gain, then add more life gain cards. It also has exalted flyers, which I don't really understand why you have them in the deck at all? Is it simply because they're flying creatures?

It's slightly a high drop, but a Palisade Giant or two would probably help you. Basically a living safe passage. I used to run two of them in a similar deck to this one and I threw a ghostly possession and a mark of asylum out to make it basically untouchable by non-combat and combat damage. The only thing that was trick was stopping it from being murdered or destroyed in other ways.
Also, a small problem with this kind of deck is when an opponent steals or just makes you lose life in a way. What I've been told is that losing life and taking damage are two separate things, so there was nothing I could do to stop my opponents from just extorting me or draining my life total down to zero.

Hello. I'm relatively new to the game, but... I do have a few ideas for the deck.
You're constantly sacking creatures to make Blood Artist do damage and gain life, why not add in a few Bloodchief Ascensions and/or a Grave Pact or two.
They go great in most any black deck and from what you've explained your deck does, I think they would help.

Love the idea for this deck. Another card you could consider for the deck is Coat of Arms. If you're running a changeling deck, you'll have just massive creatures.

Excellent idea, but having only four creatures in the deck worries me. Maybe some other multi-coloured creatures that could benefit from the rings/civic saber? Or something that you can use to pull those creatures out of your deck faster?
