Deck Description

I was playing a deck with Heroes' Bane in it, and eventually built it up to a 5120/5120. I then thought "What if that had lifelink?" This deck is the result of that thought.

UPDATE: Swapped Vine Trellis for Axebane Guardian

How to Play

The goal here is basically to get Heroes' Bane out, enchant him quick to keep him alive and well, build him up with his ability, and slap some lifelink on him to get your life total climbing so damn high your opponent won't be able to kill you.
Yes, there are still ways to lose (e.g. cards like The Cheese Stands Alone, Barren Victory, Now I Know My ABCs, Laboratory Maniac, and let's not forget infect) but it's still pretty awesome to see your life total soar into the tens of thousands, or even higher. Gods Willing and Emerge Unscathed can also be used to protect against boardwipes. Plus, once you feel like you want to end the game, just give it protection from whatever creatures they have (or trample) and completely pound them into the ground. Do whatever. Just have fun with it.

Sideboard: include some enchantment removal to counter things like Havoc Festival (which would be poison for this deck)

Deck discussion for ULTRA LIFEGAIN

Simple strategy but effective. I would drop a Spirit Link for another Armadillo cloak, as if you don't get trample on the Hydra it won't be doing much. Then I would drop the other 2 Spirit links for 2 more Aegis of the God's (or you will be vulnerable to "target player sacrifice a creature" )

Thanks for leaving feedback on my http://www.mtgvault.com/jestrix/decks/constellations-for-orzhov/ Much appreciated. :)

Spirit Link? I know not what card you speak of...

I'm not sure if you mean Lifelink, but if that's the case, you are missing the entire point of this deck. I don't want to remove any lifelink cards because the entire goal of this deck is MASSIVE lifegain.
I realize that Armadillo Cloak is great since it grants a stat boost as well as lifelink and trample, but I don't want to focus on slamming the enemy immediately, or else it's no different from any other ramp deck. I want to be able to watch as I become practically immortal (except for a few cards), and THEN slam them into the ground. And I will definitely get at least one Gods Willing, Emerge Unscathed, or Armadillo Cloak by the time I feel like doing that.

(Note: I posted these 5 hours apart because I accidentally hit the post button too quickly, and then my phone died at that moment then I couldn't get to my computer for a while.)

Spirit Link is an old card that grants lifelink. In fact it's thge original card where that mechanic comes from. However, in casual, I would play Spirit Loop instead.

I don't think you need THAT much cards that provide lifelink. What you need, though, is library manipulation. Because if you don't draw Hero's Bane, your deck doesn't do anything. You could run some of the following:
* Worldly Tutor
* Eladamri's Call
* Congregation at Dawn
* Natural Order
* Commune with the Gods (only searched the top 5 cards, however, it is also able to fetch enchantments!)
* Defense of the Heart

Why did you replace Emerge Unscathed with Stave Off!? Emerge Unscathed is strictly better!

In this deck, all those cards that let a creature of you fight an opponent's creature will be better than Predator's Rapport. Of the ones available, I think Mutant's Prey will serve you best (instant speed).

What this deck needs is early defense. PERIMETER CAPTAIN is THE one card this deck needs! It works wonders with your other walls, boosting each other and giving you tons of life when blocking. And the best thing: It costs only one mana (currently you have nothing to do on turn 1).

Green Sun's Zenith will help to get that creature out. Also, nice lifegain with Predator's Rapport.

Predator's Rapport is weak, doesn't do anything on it's own. He should use Mutant's Prey instead: You'll gain the same amount of life if one of the various lifelink options have been deployed but it also kills an opposing creature (the deck, as it is, doesn't have any creature removal).

And if pure lifegain is in your mind, why go for Predator's Rapport, which is one-shot, when you could run Wall of Reverence instead?
Thinking about it loud, Wall of Reverence and Perimeter Captain would be the two cards that turbo-boost this deck.

Actually you don't gain the same amount of life, it says power plus toughness. If its just enchanted with lifelink, he'll only gain life equal to its power. He would also need to have Armadillo cloak on it. However, I do see your point with it being a one-shot. I was thinking more along the lines of it being an instant, which is nice.

Rancor for trample? Your Heroes' Bane can just be blocked by 1/1s. That's not nice.

Its a low blow but ever thought about Felidar Sovereign? it'd be good against players who just refuse to give up.
