the deck was thrown together for my wife. she requested thassa and this is what she got. she is still starting out so i wanted her to have a deck that is fairly easy to play. it was difficult for me to make a mono-colored commander since all my decks are built with cards i own or find and trade for. i don't purchase cards online. It's not a pricey deck, except the fact i can't put it the foils which includes thassa herself and most of the islands.
the main idea of the deck is to get thassa on the field and keep her there long enough to make her a creature and make herself unblockable to swing in for commander damage. While holding them off with counters. I have played against it myself and the counters get really annoying.
