You might consider Urge to Feed for some quick and dirty removal. It's great for defense, since you can happily tap all of your vampires to make them bigger at the same time. Also, if you're going with unblockable effects (Markov Warlord, Crossway Vampire...), a Curse of Stalked Prey or Rakish Heir may be a good investment.

Honestly, this deck is just something I threw together with whatever Vampires I had sitting around and haven't given it a lot of thought yet. I'll have to look into the Urge to Feed. I was thinking of going lifelink with this deck and trying to get a hold of some Vampire Nighthawks but I kind of like unblockable idea too, I think I have a Curse of Stalked Prey sitting around gathering dust I could throw in. Thanks for the ideas.
