Deck Description

MUD is a artifact deck that tries to control the board by making spells cost more or outright not allowing people to play certain cmc spells via Chalice of the void. Once the feild is in your control you can steam roll your opponent with a number of creatures. Most of my wins have been coming by way of Lodestone and Wurmcoil, but have pulled off a few wins with Blightsteel.

Deck discussion for MUD Stax

ok, I know that this would throw a wrench into things but... ethersworn canonist would fit theme so well.

I designed a deck that makes it harder for opponents to play spells as well, although it is based on a very different concept than this one. This looks pretty effective. :) how fast is it?

Fairly fast, once I get all the the disruption peices out( Lodestone, Trinisphere, Chalice). As soon as I get Kuldotha Forgemaster out its pretty much game over. The quickest kill is Kuldotha into a Blightsteel. Do you have a link for your deck, i would like to see how your differs.

Here's a total out of the blue idea... TIMESIFTER!
Yesterday I played an R/G aggro in LEGACY with timesifter in the sideboard.
I would play it against opponents without counterspells to gain extra speed.
The card is rather fun when your deck features the highest castingcosts, and I had 3-4 turns in a row when it hit and was uninterrupted.

The card seems to work pretty well in my deck, where costs are mainly 3cc.

You might want to try it out :D

TIMESIFTER: 5cc
artifact
At the beginning of each upkeep, each player exiles the top card of his or her library. The player who exiled the card with the highest converted mana cost takes an extra turn after this one. If two or more players' cards are tied for highest cost, the tied players repeat this process until the tie is broken.
