The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

No matter who their fickle hearts worship, all mortals belong to one god in the end.

Does anybody remember playing W/B Aristocrats back in Ravnica? When we had things like Intangible Virtue, Lingering Souls, etc? Well this deck aims to re-create the spirit of the token deck with new leanings towards control.

The deck is full of removal, with Pacifisms, Banishing Light and Brain Maggot keeping your enemy's creatures tied up. If some do get through, you still have the option of simply destroying them with the Spear.

But as your opponent loses value by getting his creatures hit with enchantments, you gain free value with your Constellation effects. Take out one creature with Pacifism, kill another with Blightcaster, gain a life with Coinsmith or drain them with Guardian.

The remaining cards bolster the bonus effects you're getting for free anyway. Sanguine Bond turns your life gain into life drain. Whip, Spear and Dictate all boost the tokens you get from Heliod and Ajani's Chosen, turning a 2/2 cat token into a potential 5/5 Vigilance and Lifelinking moster (Which you got for free!). Dictate of Erebos and Dark Prophecy both force difficult trades when it comes to combat. Every kill spell becomes a 2 for 1, either granting you card draw or removing your opponent's threats.

The best part is, this deck works with any combination of the above cards. Every card helps out every other card, and if you can survive long enough through the Ghor-Clan Rampagers and such, you can really take over the game.

How to Play

To me, this deck's biggest foe is fast red decks with a lot of removal. If you find yourself dying too early to Ghor-Clan Rampagers and Burning-Tree Emissary, it might be necessary to board out some of your Banishing Lights for Oppressive Rays or forego removal altogether and just go for Nyx-Fleece Ram.

Otherwise, the deck functions fairly well as there's removal enough to deal with almost any threat. Even the dreaded Blood Baron of Vizkopa can be picked off with a Brain Maggot, or at least delayed until you have enough of a board to win despite him.
