maybe thoughtseize instead of duress if price isnt an issue. Squeezing in a blade of the blood chief wouldnt be shabby either

BLOODGHAST,verdant catacombs, blade of the blood chief and dark dephs, but BLOODGHAST is a must. first time i see a vampire deck without BLOODGHAST

i have two ghasts but the lands are way too expensive for me, and i want to work on getting thought seize

ya id agree with Bloodghast. I run 4 in my vampire deck instead of child of the night. That way if you get board wiped you still can comeback swinging the next turn

i see no Necropolis Reagent here. actually there are a LOT of good modern vamp not in here. is this a constructed deck or a buy-n-build? you could at least throw in Nosferatu.

Blade of the Bloodchief - friend of mine plays it in his B/R Vamps and it's sooo annoying :)

Hi!
Maybe you will find something in my vampire deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/othagiri/decks/monoblack-vampire/
- Vampire Hexmage - situative creature, so i moved it to sideboard
- Pulse Tracker - nice if you play vs 2-3-4 opponents, if you play 1vs1 i prefer Quag Vampires
- Go for the Throat - nice instakill, but what if you play vs artifact creatures? I prefer sacrifice, Tribute to Hunger for example or Geth's Verdict.
- Add some nonbasic lands - Crypt of Agadeem, Piranha Marsh
-Try Exquisite Blood/Sanguine Bond, sure you will like it

Why, if I might ask, Quag? Pulse'll get you there better unless they have Swamps. Pulsetracker you get one damage guaranteed on attack and, if they don't block, another. Quag you have to pay a total of 3 for him to be able to deal 2 damage per swing. If anything, I'd go with Guul Draz Vampire for a one drop.

Door of Destinies?

Looks good but since Hexmage is pretty situational, perhaps you should put it in SB. Guul Draz, Blood Seeker, etc could take its place.

You completely misunderstand. Hexmage is premiere card here. It kills PWalkers, ruins Oozes, Ravagers, Vials and other modern superstars. And its on 2/1 FS body. How can you complain about her instead of e.g. Child of Night which is in fact bad.

lol? how does it kill?
1) PW - loyalty (not counters)
2) if you remove all counters it will be default p\t

Planeswalkers have loyalty counters on them. You remove all of them, it dies.

ok im going phoenix wright on this...OBJECTION!!!!!!! PW loyalty is in fact in the form of *gasp* counters! The comprehensive rules from Innistrad (most current for PW) state in section 3, part 06, point 5b & 5c that a planeswalkers loyalty is in the form of counters. (306.5b - A planeswalker is treated as if its text box included, "This permanent enters the battlefield with a number of loyalty counters on it equal to its printed loyalty number."; 306.5c The loyalty of a planeswalker on the battlefield is equal to the number of loyalty counters on it.)

Secondly, if you dont see how effective Hexmage is then you have no idea what the threats zipec listed can really do when the entire deck is built around them. I run hexmage in my vampire deck and the INSTANT she hits the field, she becomes marked for death. even moreso than a nighthawk or nocturnus. try playing at a modern tournament. you will see how necessary hexmage really is.

Hexmage does kill PW, but at the same time (like I said), Hexmage is still situational. Yeah, obviously you're going to mainboard him against Affinity, or to shut down Karns, Oozes, or Aether Vials, but every other deck you play that doesn't have any counters on permanents results in a plain old 2/1 for 2.

What vampire would you guys suggest i sideboard for child or is it okay? i like getting the lifelink boost when i have nocturnus and chid out at the same time.

I mentioned Guul Draz Vampire, but theres also Kalastria Highborn and Blood Artist that should do well.

kalastria has won me games before. had a swamp and a pirahna marsh untapped with kalastria, nighthawk, and nirkana revenant when my buddy used chandra the firebrand's ultimate. i dropped him to 1 and then i cast malakir bloodwitch for the win :D

I wouls splash white for Sorin and Path to Exile. Or red for Stromkirk Captain, Olivia and Lightning Bolt. Mutavaults would help you get to desired amount of vampires for Bl Keeper and others.

If you splashed white you could also get Tithe Drinker or something to replace Child of the Night with something of the same size, still has lifelink, and you get Extort.
