The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

This is a midrange deck that plays halfway at instant speed, uses the graveyard, and is highly resilient to boardwipes.

Cryptbreaker and Jace fuel madness and graveyard synergies while drawing you cards.

Haunted Dead and Prized Amalgam provide the primary resiliency to boardwipes and can often represent an extremely mana advantageous way to generate pressure.

Jace and Liliana provide further staying power as walkers and smooth out bad draws. Plus they're both busted good cards.

Grasp of Darkness is debatably the best removal in Standard and combines well with Liliana. Dark Salvation is a flexible removal spell and token generation card.

Voldaren Pariah often gets madnessed in when the opponent taps out to make them sacrifice their board and present a huge flying threat.

I've been working hard on Cockatrice and on other forums since Eldritch Moon was fully revealed to build this deck. I did not copy this deck and it has been tested against pillars of the format such as Bant Coco, GW, W/B control, G/B delirium, and Temurge.

How to Play

Interactions:

Jace + Gisa's Bidding = Draw a card and get 2 2/2s for 3 cmc at instant speed

Cryptbreaker + Gisa's Bidding = 3 2/2s for 5 cmc at instant speed that you can block with and/or tap immediately to draw a card

Jace + Voldaren Pariah = Draw a card and get a 3/3 flyer for 3 cmc at instant speed that can force them to sacrifice their board and become a monstrous flying beatstick

Cryptbreaker + Voldaren Pariah = Similar to above, a 2/2 and a 3/3 flyer for 5 cmc at instant speed and you're one creature closer to flipping the Pariah

Cryptbreaker or Jace + Haunted Dead = You would rather discard Haunted Dead, the mana cost is grossly high and you really want to sink it to the grave for later shenanigans with Prized Amalgam. You get to draw a card or play a 2/2 for 2 cmc at instant speed for your trouble respectively.

Haunted Dead (graveyard) + Prized Amalgam (hand or graveyard) = at least 6 power and 6 toughness for 2 cmc at instant speed. Discarding an Amalgam from hand as a part of the cost of Haunted Dead triggers the Amalgam to come back at the end step. A single Amalgam in the hand or graveyard takes Haunted Dead from card disadvantage to card advantage nuetral. 2 Amalgams is over the top card and mana advantage.

Haunted Dead + Gisa's Bidding = 3 2/2s and a 1/1 flyer for 5 cmc at instant speed. Add Amalgams to get gross.

Haunted Dead + Voldaren Pariah = a 2/2 and a 3/3 and 1/1 flyer for 5 cmc at instant speed. You only need one other creature to immediately flip Pariah. Perhaps an Amalgam?

Gisa and Geralf help fuel Liliana, Jace (and immediately flip him), Haunted Dead, and Prized Amalgams. Then you get to recast Cryptbreakers or something else to bring back Amalgams.

Deck discussion for Zombies

Diffidently better than any Zombies Deck I've ever built, But why keep the negate in there? Why not drop it and throw in a removal spell, or a board wipe in case things go very badly?
(Some options:
Ultimate Price - same CMC, pretty effective removal;
Ruinous Path - something to get rid of any pesky opposing planeswalkers that somehow manage to avoid your attacks;
Languish - the Standard black board wipe (incase things go really, really badly. Plus rebuilding your board shouldn't be too hard, with the deck's access to the graveyard);
even throwing in another Voldaren or Gisa and Geralf would help, since those seem to be your backup wincon's.)
Again, Great deck! +1
