Well, um.. Brutal horde chief would probably be better fit for a Straight up Mardu tokens deck, with other forms of token generation. Also, It's really fighting butcher and sorin for that 4 drop spot, two cards which are really just much better than it. Chandra ablaze is this deck's elspeth. She not only can kill most creatures and planes walkers with her +1, but her -2 makes whatever our opponent has been saving up useless. her -7 is a game ender. It's ridiculous. Especially if we've dropped a few burn spells in the graves with her +1. I don't wanna drop any lands, this deck already has a lot of expensive stuff like wing mate roc.

Thanks for the input! I think I'm just going to put in the DL atarkas for the sideboard, maybe 2 of them at max.

Sure! Stormbreaths for the sideboard it is!

The major problem I saw in somberwald sages is that they're fighting courser for the 3 slot, and don't provide any decent blockers or card advantage. If you guys really want it in the sideboard, then I'll put it in there. Right now, however, I'm really skeptical of it being a good choice.

Btw, I really think you guys should look at another deck that I made recently, and I sincerely believe it has the potential to be the new Jund.

Wow! A lot of comments thanks Guys! So wait, do you guys want FRF Atarka or DL Atarka? Both would be really good, but I shied away from the 7 drop even though there is planty of ramp and lands. I just put in Polis crusher Cause' he's a double bear with trample who I can also sink mana into late game.

Also, I stayed away from ramp spells because we already have 3 Radha's (which are insane) and 4 caryatids (slightly less insane). If all else fails, The coursers will fetch what we need off of the top deck. Yes I know the storm breaths are a classic from standard, but the thunder maws are the superior card most of the time.

I hope I have answered all of your Questions, And I hope to see more "Modern Ideas" in the comments below. What exactly do you want to cut, and what exactly do you want to add? I'll then add these, and some sideboard suggestions to a new version that I'll put in the comments

Fair enough. Voice of resurgence is a freakin sweet magic card. However, in this version, I wanted to experiment with cards like felidar cub and skylasher, and the cost of voice in paper is outrageous. If you have the bucks, then it is worth including, but I'd like to introduce players to the idea of modern hate bears (remember It's called "Modern Ideas") before showing them the whole thing.

But yes! Great choice!

ah, but sorcery speed on dreadbore though. Maybe a second murderous cut? Go for the throat seemed good up until I realized Modern's artifact fetish (affinity). Tasigur would be good, though I'd like to keep 2 sulimgars as my only 6 drops. Gurmang angler isn't really something I want to include, because It doesn't really do much other than being a fat creature with no abilities, while Tasigur can give you really great card advantage late game.

Kolaghan's command just seemed like the strictly worse electrolyze, which I didn't want to include either because of the various kill spells in black, plus I remind you the playset of lightning bolts which can deal with what those other cards can't for 2 less mana.

Dissolve and Doom blade may be surprising I guess. The Dissolve is just the strictly better cancel, and the doom blade allows us to kill most of the format, as there aren't many great black bombs except maybe Griselbrand and Desecration demon. Prognostic sphinx is just a great flier that can prepare us for the home run if not dealt with with its scry 3 ability.

It's really sad that we aren't allowed to use treasure cruise or dig in modern. There's nothing really broken about them, and counter spell would't break modern either.

Why no Butcher in Mardu? He seems like he'd be really good with young pyromancer.

Tidehollow sculler is basically a thoughtsieze on a 2/2 body with no life loss

Zealous persecution is potential sweeper removal against red aggro decks.

Good that you run underrated commanders! I actually made a ruric thar EDH deck on mtgvault just like this!

The link is

http://www.mtgvault.com/ladon229/decks/edh-its-all-ogre-now-3/

Also, before you just switch out Skullbriar for Pharika, remember that you will need a completely different deck. Pharika is more of a combo general. You will also need some heavy mana ramp and self mill to make her effective. I'd suggest running as many creatures in the deck as well so that you will hit them in your self mill. Make these creatures low value, as you don't want to hesitate exiling them from the graves. Delve spells will also utilize this ability - making Pharika a creature, then swinging in with become immense is the dream.

You could also make a snake tribal deck with as many green/black snakes as you can. Even though Pharika, herself is not a snake, she freakin' makes tons of them.

I dunno, just a few thoughts!

while valorous stance is a good removal spell, try to pick up a playlet of crackling doom. you'll need it against more midrange builds.

the thing about bolt wing marauder is, to make it effective, you need to be casting creatures after your WIN CONDITION. In a Mardu deck you really want to avoid this. I am personally a Mardu player and I choose to run wing mate roc for my 5 drop slot because 6 power in the air is strictly better than 5. The life gain is the icing on the cake. And dude, in a mardu tokens, you should be running butcher even harder than most decks because you have tons of chump to sac to him. And don't even think of winning with a deck of 63 cards! Please take the number down to 60 for consistency. And yes you do need the life gain and the haste in a Mardu AGGRO deck where you do NEED pain lands and fetches with any, and I mean ANY hope of winning against any deck running den protector + death mist raptor.

good deck, however, consider putting in more board wipe such as languish, end hostilities, anger of the gods, drown in sorrow, mass calcify, and many more options

Good idea! I have already tried to make as much card draw as possible, but it is very difficult to find card advantage in green and red. I have not yet tried cards like life's legacy because this is sort of a beat down deck and I want these creatures alive most of the time. Also, which creatures do you think are least effective? I would be happy to make these cuts in the next version!

Peace out m8!

Wow thanks!

Sorry I thought most "not come into play tapped" multi lands were WAY more expensive. Is city of brass really just $4?! Last I checked it was freaking $50!

Yea I know a lot of these card choices are bad but I was really tired at the time of finishing this deck and knew I would lose internet connection soon!

I hope to change this peace out!

So basically you want people to make decks of near-perfect quality with INSANE costs? I can do that!

The only problem is that not everyone can afford to play those decks...
