Agree, I really like the burning tree. With a lotus petal on turn one followed by a Goblin bushwhacker or a swiftspear on Rancor it really hurts. You could also consider orochi leafcaller for mana laundering if you' ve got infinite green.

Makes some sense, have you got experience playing the gossipmonger? I haven't but was thinking the flip requirement might slow you down a bit as it means no attack turn 2. Anyway, there's lots of good 2 drops which do indeed flesh out the deck. I did a similar thing and included Sigarda, but it's by no means a finished article for me. I'm curious about how you progress with this!

Did you consider Repel the Abominable as a combat trick and protection from burn?

I also like the big GW angel, Sigarda.

Weenie-wise I would add Thraben Inspector as another one drop and as it gets you another weenie potentially or at least rids you of another land draw.

I feel you do have to lose the Blightning as it's unfair to not give your opponent the choice between discard and pain. Old school and expensive mana wise is Wand of Ith. But it has very nice art. I would also consider Magus of the Wheel. It will tempt opponent to empty hand asap, and subsequently you can just let him be. Or you get your new fill of annoying choices. I am actually just about to ditch the browbeats from my Taiga-Kird Ape deck myself, but this deck makes me reconsider. I like the mechanic a lot.
