Deck Description

I've seen some of the "Splinter Twin"-based decks and "Scourge of Valkas" then i though: Why not?

How to Play

You just have to abuse "Twinflame" and "Splinter Twin" in "Scourge of Valkas" to get multiple instances of damage. "Lightning Bolt", "Flame Slash" and "Slumbering Dragon" are there to slow your opponent down a little. If dealing with troblesome cards like "Baneslayer Angel" and/or "Emrakul", "Brittle Effigy". Well, it's simple to tell how to play it by yourself. Also, i don't know how the fuck i got an good mana curve with an dragon-themed deck! o.0

Its a very clever concept! The direct damage from Scourge of Valkas multiplied. I like it! I really like it!

Ok. compliments out of the way.... If you permit a couple of opinions.

Archwing Dragon works against your concept. He isn't applying to your dragon count when it matters to Scourge of Valkas. For 4 cmc you could have Rakdos Pit Dragon. Much more dangerous and it stays on the board.

I would consider scrapping black altogether. Heartless Summoning is an interesting card, but -1/-1 to ALL your creatures IMHO is stinky. Its a trade off. The speed you gain from the enchantment it offset by potential mana woes and weaker creature. In its place I would add 3 Dragon Hatchlings.

Having said that, I recognize that the real damage is direct, but you have hasted tokens; you might as well use them to bludgeon opponent about the head and shoulders.

You have 4 forests and Utopia Sprawl. Might b tough to get those two together. Low percentage of hitting that early on. Maybe consider ditching Utopia Sprawl, adding a 4th fertile ground and using the remaining two slots for Dragon Broodmother. DB gives you dragon tokens which apply to the SoV count.

Your early game looks good. The deck is a fantastic idea! Makes me want to play Dragons again!

Hope this helps :)

Holy shit, dat review. Tanks mate!

Indeed Archwing Dragon don't stay in board, but i though of using him because of his evasion, cuz he can still potentialy hit by 4 every turn and an counter on him would be a waste. Also, with Scourge of Valkas on board it would be 2 damage for an creature/player every turn. But Rakdos Pit Dragon is indeed a much dangerous threat at attacking.

I though of Dragon Hatchling when considering Birthing Pod in the deck, but Heartless Sumonning is faster and it would kill the Hatchling. And since dragons are really costly...

Yeah, Utopia Sprawl was kind of retarded, but i couldn't have resisted the 1 drop ramp that can be used in the same turn! xD

...AND FUCK YEAH! DRAGON *FUCKING* BROODMOTHER! I love this dude. I just didn't though what to take of to put she in, and it is even more costly without Heartless Summoning.

We indeed have more reliable mana dorks out there, but i'm trying to make an true dragon tribal. Like "Dragons art too powerful and prideful to rely on weaklings!" Yeah, i can't let this on my mind if i want to create an good deck. Now i'm thinking if i put some more destruction from black to keep the opponent in pace or use something like Crucible of Fire to solve the Heartless Summoning problem. The worse part is that i only need 1 Heartless Summoning to solve the mana problem but i need more than one to get the chance at having 1 in my hand. DAMN!

Thanks again man.

No worries!
Glad I could help!
Play it through a couple of times or work through some draws.
Maybe something like Pyroclasm (or the modern variant) could help clear out early weenies.

Slumbering Dragon is an amazing deterrent. It never stops growing, even after it "wakes up". It just gets more and more pissed off.

How about Braid of Fire instead of Heartless Summoning? Its same cmc, but red.
Crap, I just realized why not. Mana produced by braid must be used during upkeep.
It won't help for opening the door for big fat dragons.
Would help with instants and pumping dragons though.

You have inspired me to try a version of this though.

Here's my version, marcosknux.
Hope it helps!

In the end I agreed with your Dragon Hatchling assessment.
Enjoy!

Ok gents. I would like to recommend two of my personal dragon decks for you. Both have had a retarded amount of success and are incredibly fast. With the Adult Dragon deck, I have had 30 or so dragons out by Turn 6 (although I can't remember how I pulled it off haha) and with the baby dragons, well, they just poop out baby dragons =D Seriously though, great dragon decks and I hope these can help you improve your own dragons!

Side note: In the Adult Dragon deck, take out scourge of the throne and the deck becomes modern.
