Deck discussion for Hyper Red [EDH]

Needs flash to utilize braid to the fullest. Vedalken Orrery and Winding Canyons.

drop mana flare, you already have 3 other cards to double mana. flare is too risky as it doubles everyones mana.

Add hostility to get slight mill protection and a great effect. (converts 1 damage of burn from instant/sorceries to opponents to a 3/1 haste creature). My favorite play was playing Hostility, Dictate of the twin gods and earthquake for 5 in a 4 player game. . . this did 10 damage to each creature on the ground and to me, but I got 30 3/1 hasters that did 6 dmg each when attacking. each opponent took 60 on my atk.

on that note, Get ALL the cards that double damage and get yourself a glacial chasm/platinum emperion.
You already have Fireservant, so add:
Dictate of the Twin Gods
Curse of Bloodletting
Bitter Feud
Furnace of Rath
Quest for Pure Flame

It has Orrery/Hostility FYI. Also, the idea is to maximize mana to melt your opponents with X spells and your Commander/Ashling.

I missed that you already had those two.

I understand maxing mana to pump into x spells, but if at the same time you are giving your opponents more mana, they will usually have more answers available. This is just my preference I guess though. I am very cautious and selfish when it comes to the cards I play. I build my decks so they rarely backfire when taken and used against me and so they provide no benefit to my opponents even if they provide me with a well needed bonus. The only exceptions are when ive created a loophole so I get an extremely better benefit. (like with glacial chasm/platinum emperion and the double dmg enchants)
