Is the purpose of all of the spawn/scions to trigger purphoros and tremors? I find this deck to be very creative.

Correct! You gett blockers/attackers, as well as "impact"-type damage from Purphoros and Impact Tremors :)
How about scrap/sideboard norin for the blighted oran-reif? it'll buff the eldrazi especially when you spam them a lot.
How do you activate Blight Herder? You have only one way to get things into exile and that's Norin, who isn't even exiled under your opponent's control. That being said I like the deck idea!
