I also have a friend who've probably started the core of this deck by getting top 8 with it.I'm amazed to see it again with some nice new tech. (Especially reliquary tower)Back when he designed it, I designed another deck along similar lines but with just 8 lands to show him how low he could go with his mana, which is why I'm also shocked by 26 lands.It does make sense though to cast more growth as fast as possible.Mekkakat, where did you encounter the basis for this.Albert, where did your friend encounter it?A design note on my friends deck is that it used 6 curiosities as there is a green version of it in planar chaos I think.

There's a card that I use often called gaea's blessing though it's anti mill but maybe consuming aberration and there's jace, wieder for self mill, and maybe drowned secrets
