This deck was built to control your opponent, if you get skybind out, you can troll your opponent by exiling a card untill there next endstep by making an enchantment enter the battlefield. Also getting out brain maggot exiles target nonland permanent in your opponents hand until Brain Maggot leaves the battlefield. So you buff up Brain Maggot, so that way for it will not get killed.

You should consider replacing Nyxborn Shieldmate with 2-4 each of:Eidolon of Countless BattlesKor Spiritdancer (this will be fantastic draw for your deck and I don't see any reason why there shouldn't be a full playset of this guy in there)Your deck is so lightwieght that I don't think replacing Nyxborn Shieldmate with the slightly higher cost mana cards will be a problem. Not to mention, the deck is really lacking in card draw and you may plateau really fast so Kor Spiritdancer would help with that.
