Deck Description

Legality:
Standard, built with cards from the blocks Kaladesh (Kaladesh, Aether Revolt) and Amonkhet (Amonkhet, ???)

Basic idea:
I found some good standard-Izzet decks in the last time and now wanted to see what my version would look like.

Building it:
The first thing I added where 24 basic lands.
After that I started my search for good creatures and instantly found some good while looking through other decks. So 4 Enigma Drake and 4 Soul-Scar Mage where the first cards to be added. 3 Baral, Chief of Compliance followed, mainly to lower the mana-costs but a Cancel that costs one less to cast AND allows you to draw and discard a card is a nice thing to have.
This brought me directly to the support-spells. 4 Shock where added because it's one of the few good spells left that can damage both player and creatures. 3 Hungry Flames also found it's way into the deck because it can simultaneously hurt player and creature. 3 Harnessed Lightning where added as simple creature removal. 2 Sweltering Suns, with 2 more in the sideboard, where added as mass-removal. After that I was looking for carddraw and decided to go for 3 Tormenting Voice and 3 Glimmer of Genius. 3 Disallow, which can be replaced with Cancel for a more budget-friendly version, where added to get some more control against non-creature spells and ability's. The last thing I added where 4 Dynavolt Tower. Tough Metallurgic Summonings allows you to use your instant's and sorcery's again, weakening Enigma Drake at this moment, I felt that it would be to slow for this deck.
The sideboard is pretty random so far. 2 additional Sweltering Suns against decks that have more creatures. 3 Magma Spray when your opponent uses creatures that can come back or have any effect in the graveyard (Probably one of the cards I would trade for another if I would know the meta better). 3 Negate against decks that use more non-creature spells.

Tests:
This deck exists only on this site and has never been played against another deck. Regardless I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.

How to Play

The basic idea of this deck is to run your opponent into the ground with burn-spells and Enigma Drake. Later on Dynavolt Tower can help to burn your opponent to cinders.
Soul-Scar Mage has prowess, so he can attack too if you managed to play some spells on this turn, but he really shines when it comes to removing your opponents creatures. A simple Shock can now remove a x/4 creature or cripple anything bitter by placing 2 -1/-1 counters on it. Hungry Flames can remove any x/6 and still deal 2 damage to your opponent.
Tormenting Voice and Glimmer of Genius should help so that you don't run out of ammunition.
