Deck Description

[u]Basic Idea[/u]
I was switching out a card from one of my cards and replaced it with [[Greatsword of Tyr]] and the deck also featured [[Knighted Myr]], which brought me to the idea of a double strike deck. To be honest: Double strike sucks... for your opponent. Especially if you combine it with effects that raise your creatures strength.

[u]Tests[/u]
I have tested this deck against other pauper decks. The decks I tested against are a mixture of Control and Aggro and the result are recorded in a spreadsheet. If you're interested in details from the spreadsheet, feel free to ask.

[u]Conclusions from the tests[/u]
I've had high hopes that this deck would be fun to play (for me, not my opponent), but in the end it didn't really work as intended. The deck is to slow to be a real aggro deck, thus against most decks your pushed into playing defensively, something [[Armory of Iroas]] and [[Greatsword of Tyr]] are not designed for. Another huge drawback is that without trample the damage easily can be blocked by an opponent and the single copy of [[Rouse the Mob]] is too expensive to play for many creatures. Last, the deck is really vulnerable to mass-removal, even in its weakest form (e.g. [[Electrocute]]).

I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.

How to Play

The strategy of this deck is straightforward: Play a double strike creature, strengthen it with some spells and attack. Repeat till your opponent is finished. As this deck doesn't feature any additional draw you have to be careful with our starting hand.
[[Knighted Myr]] works best with [[Armory of Iroas]] or [[Greatsword of Tyr]], which not only make it stronger each turn, but activate it's ability so it gets double strike.
