Maybe it's not necessary but Hammer of Purphorous seems good here...giving all those pesky insects haste sounds like fun. It's possible you could maybe drop a couple of the Burning Angers for 2 Hammers. Since you would still have the Pilgrim to find the copy you would need. Just a thought.

I love playing infect. But I think this deck in particular might be a little slow. Not that it couldn't win fast, but the fact that you only have 8 creatures (not including the Inkmoth's). I feel like there will be too many times where a creature won't be in your opening hand and you'll be forced to mulligan. Personally I'd take out 2 of the Sylvan Scrying and 2 of the Mutagenic Growths and find 4 more creatures. Maybe Necropede or Blight Mamba?

Serra Avatar seems like a good fit here. Couple that with Sheltering Word. It can bring opponents to tears.

I think Infiltration Lens would go a long long way in this deck. Just a thought. This deck looks like loads of fun.

That sounds awesome. I'll go check it out. Admittedly, I'll probably make it and play it too!

So I started building this deck and then I was like oh what's this? Blighted Agent....hmmm. So Yeah I put him in there. Maybe wise, maybe not. But adds some flavor for me.

Well, I suppose that's for the best. Tis a shame. Oh well, this still looks sweet and I'm sure I'll go ahead and build another one of Northy's decks.....muhahahaha

Let me rephrase that. Can you attach a Bestow creature to Academy Researchers as it enters the battlefield?

Nice! More good stuff from you. Maybe this doesn't work....but can you attach a Bestow creature to academy researchers? I feel like that would be unfair, but if legal, friggin sweet!

I love blue/green decks. Kalonian Hydra works wonders in a deck like this. Also Prophet of Kruphix might help - the giving your creatures flash can be devastating. For example, flash in a Kalonian Hydra at the end of your opponent's turn. Then you are free to attack with it on your turn. Master Biomancer is awesome too. One last card you might try out is Bioshift. Oh you are going to block my 16/16 hydra? No problem, I'll just go ahead and move all of these on to my 1/2 Cloudfin Raptor. Oh that's enough for lethal? ...... gg. Good luck!

SWEEEET! Thanks for doing this. I think this is awesome! I love the addition of Nature's Will. That card will wreak havoc on your foes. I'm finding more and more that this deck is a fierce competitor in multiplayer or 2 headed giant. 1 v 1 can be troublesome at times due to it taking more time to turn on. With so many enchantments I think sphere of safety is an important addition. I am going to run at least two copies in my deck. Maybe there is room for Crawlspace as well. I've found that Earth Surge is absolutely necessary. If it's on the board prior to you casting Nature's Revolt, it just makes your opponent's army that much larger. Being able to cast Boundless Realms and the using Overrun will ensure you have enough to go over the top. If not, it will at least deal a massive blow to your opponent and you should be able to just overwhelm at that point.

Again, this is one of my favorite decks. Thanks for making your version and introducing some new cards!

Well Northy I know you are continuously inundated with requests for help in creating decks built around a certain card or theme. So I won't get on that train...well not exactly. I do think this deck is awesome and your recognition on this site is unparalleled. So I've got a unique request. Would you re-create this deck? What I mean is will you create a "new" deck so that people have another chance to see this idea? I don't think it's received proper recognition and this idea deserves its 15 minutes of fame. Other people deserve to play this and opponents deserve to lose against it...haha Maybe we'll get some ideas to make it even better.

I have adapted your original idea and created a deck. It's called Lands are Beast! It's pretty close to your budget requirement. Check it out if you get a chance. It's not exactly creatureless but I've found that there is a need for fending off your opponent in the early game so you can set up for the late game. Thanks again for your inspiration.

Although, once their library is empty they will still lose 3 life per turn. It does put them on a clock. They will likely end up with cards in their hand that are useless. Granted you are on the same clock but one turn ahead. Plus once their library is empty you can actively attack with Maralen because if they kill it then they lose on their next turn. If they let it through then you'll end up winning that much quicker.

Still it might not be the best card for the deck but I am going to give it a chance for a while and see how it goes.

Well, I didn't have a clue so I asked around. You are correct. Maybe this isn't the deck for that card. I'll have to do some more thinking and see if I can't find something to put in its place. I still love that card. Guess I'm going to have to find a new home for Maralen.

This looks great! Maybe Aspect of Hydra has a spot in here? It's a great boost that may or may not be expected in an aura based deck.

That is incorrect. If that were the case it would be worded differently. It would say it costs 3 colorless mana less. Otherwise there would be no way that this card is worth 4 bucks. On the card it indicates that you don't have to pay Archive Trap's mana cost. That means you can cast it for free provided the requirement of an opponent searching their deck is met. Thanks.

How does Hold the Gates interact with Nature's Revolt? Can you attack and then still tap them for mana? Tapping is an instant so you could during the combat phase I believe. But could you tap your creatures for mana in your second main phase?
