Deck Description

My version of devotion to Green.

How to Play

-The way to play this deck is to cast as many creatures as possible, while building up devotion.

-Use Nyktos to cast even larger creatures and hammering opponents as hard as possible.

-Gurrak is there so you can refill your hand after casting everything out because of the mana acceleration.

-Prophet of Kruphix is used so you can untap everything and stay aggressive and defensive.

-Bramblecrush is used for planeswalker, dual lands, annoying enchantments.

-Cyclonic Rift enables this deck to clear the board of blockers/ threats.

Deck discussion for [Standard] Devotion to Green

Your build is very nice!!! I just dont like the prophet thought i think its way expensive (5mana).However,your deck is more deticated on creatures so it can be a good addition. You can only know when you play it :)

At first I thought 5 mana for a 2/3 was expensive, but the thought of untapping it next turn and also casting a different 5 drop like arbor was very appealing.

Thanks for your comment on my devotion deck! Your build is very good, the prophet and cyclonic rift are great ideas, it makes your build very unique! Never seen one quite like this yet!

I really like the splash blue. I think it provides some really good sideboard options.

can you comment on my decks. I have a mono blue and a mono green.

really mono green doesnt need the prophet or the cyclonic rift. if its aggro ur worried about u shouldnt be worried at all. mono green devotion can stonewall aggro before it gets started by for example playing a turn 2 worldspine wurm. with a very specific hand of course. but even a turn 3 kalonian hydra would work. on top of that u could put nyleas disciple in the sideboard and then u really would have nothing to worry about. honestly all the splashing blue nonsense is making the deck worse. just as an example go on my page and look at my mono green deck. u can win as early as turn 4 on a very consistent basis. u really will be better off without blue. i promise.

You need to learn the word variety. I never said this is mono green or anything like that. I prefer splashing the blue in as it gives it a better match-up against the "meta" decks people are using now, such as esper, or mono black. Frankly saying that mono green doesn't need this or that makes you sound like an elitist and you come off in a bad way. I respect your opinion but I disagree with you.

thanks for looking at my page. keep in mind that im only trying to help u win more consistlently. if u dont want to take my advice thats fine. some decks are just more fun when theyre different. i get it. my pre theros deck was the same way. also i didnt mean that i could consistlently get off a turn 2 worldspine. i guess i didnt exactly word that very well. what i meant was u could get explosive starts more consistently without blue. the turn 2 worldspine was just an example. though, doable if u didnt know. it just takes a very specific hand to pull off but when u do, the opponent usually just scoops.
