Deck Description

Shields down, shields up,
that's the way we like to rock!

This is a Budget Deck (BD for short). It is meant primarily for casual play, and its estimated mid value is aimed to land between 10 and 20 US dollars at most. Take this detail into consideration when browsing the deck!

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

This defender-oriented build enjoys building its walls high. Drop some dudes with high defense-to-cost-ratio, then utilize it via High Alert or similar effects. There are ultimately several different cards fit for a win con here:
- High Alert. Lets your defenders attack without an issue.
- Guardians of Oboro. Combined with Orzhov Advokist, Citadel Siege or perhaps even Cave of Temptation in the biggest emergency, these dudes let you attack as well.
- Wakestone Gargoyle. Pretty much the same with above, with the exception that the Gargoyle itself can provide flier beatdown when all else fails.
- Coral Colony. When all else fails, you can always try milling your opponent. Just know it will not look good for you!

Use the sideboard for some tools against alternative opponents.

Deck discussion for BD: Durability & Diligence

Order of the Stars is one of my favourite defenders for such decks as it can stall anything that doesn't have trample or is an artifact.
Perimeter Captain or Stalwart Shield-Bearers could be an option instead of Fortified Rampart, tough the Captain might be a budget problem.
