Deck Description

Rakdos artifacts?
Let's see how this turns out!

This is a Budget Deck (BD for short). It is meant primarily for casual play, and its estimated mid value is aimed to land between 10 and 20 US dollars at most. Take this detail into consideration when browsing the deck!

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

I've been having trouble with making new decks on this website, but that issue has luckily been finally solved. More budget decks for all!

Now this got interesting: Rakdos artifact-sacrifice? It is better than you would think! This deck utilizes a wide array of sacrificable-artifacts as well as creatures and life-loss effects to secure you the game. It is also quite aggressive, running only 5 cards with mana value 3, and all others are less than that!

Statistics: (out of 5)
- Deck Speed: <><><><> (How quick the deck is?)
- Creature Focus: <><> (How much this deck relies on creatures?)
- Creature Size: <> (How big are the main creatures of this deck?)
- Card Synergy: <><><> (Do the cards of the deck help out each other well?)
- Card Value: <><><> (How much card advantage can you get out of your cards?)
- Level of Complexity: <><><> (How hard this deck is to properly play?)

Pros:
+ A huge amount of early-game cards makes a secure early-game very likely!
+ Can utilize both creatures as well as spells and effects to win the game.
+ Can provide some handy resource-recycling when things go wrong.

Cons:
- Dislikes enemy lifegain.
- Limited late-game buildup: try not to drag on for too long!

Deck discussion for BD: Machiavellian Machinery

[[Vampire's Kiss]] drains 2 life and creates 2 blood artifact tokens. Helps to keep you alive and gives your artifact eaters fodder.
Makeshift Munitions is a weaker Orcish Vandal tough it's more versatile as it can also sacrifice creatures to deal damage.
Unexpected Windfall would give you 2 treasure tokens, but with 4 mana it may be to costly to add. Tough I think there is a weaker version for 2 mana that draws only 1 card and creates 1 treasure token.
Shrapnel Blast could be replaced with Galvanic Blast. The deck would loose a little bit flavour due to this, but you will gain 1 artifact that you can sacrifice into other sources.
Last Great Furnace, Vault of Whispers and Darksteel Citadel. They are a little bit cost intensive ($) tough manageable, and could give you additional artifacts to sacrifice or count for metalcraft (Galvanic Blast)

Many of these will shift this deck's aggressiveness away from the low-costed goodness, but Galvanic Blast sure is a good idea! How could've I forgotten it?

I edited the deck a bit to allow them in. I even removed Breya's Apprentices as well as a single land and an Unlicensed Disintegration to allow for more aggressive deck statistics!

Summary:
- 2 Breya's Apprentice
- 1 Unlicensed Disintegration
- 1 Swamp
+4 Galvanic Blast
