Deck Description

This deck is made in honor of a deck I crafted IRL, many, many years ago.

This is a Budget Deck (BD for short). It is meant primarily for casual play, and its estimated mid value is aimed to land between 10 and 20 US dollars at most. Take this detail into consideration when browsing the deck!

I mostly use MTG Vault for my own private projects nowadays, but feel free to comment or request a deck of your choice. I've loved the Vault so far, and I like that they are still improving on it, as well as I am improving on my English language skills.

So, if you like what you see, consider checking out some of my other budget-y work from the link below.

How to Play

Let's put the true meaning of "control" into a control deck!

This deck can very efficiently steal resources from opponents to fuel their own strategies. Fill up enemy graveyard and snatch their cards by using Jace's Mindseeker, Beacon of Unrest, Extract from Darkness and Soul Ransom!

The sideboard contains several different strategies and cards fit for some alternative enemy decktypes. Check them out to consider your options!

Deck discussion for BD: Overcontrol

Dninja was working on something similar at some time.
The video he made on it showed me that dreadhound wasn't the worst thing to put in the brew.
Some wild cards can be quite the surprise.

Yea, I've enjoyed Dreadhound so far, despite the fact it has been around only for a few months. It has a decent body for its cost and a wincon strapped onto one.

I must admit the casting cost of it made me reel, but he did manage to cast it during games, though it might have been down to "the algorithm" on arena that he got it into play.

Judging from my own experience with mana I'd guess overwhelmed apprentice is helping you to get to 6 mana faster, so I can see it work in this build.
