So I want to add 4 Roast to the deck, and I'm going to remove the 2 Bathe in Dragonfire, but I'm debating what other cards I should remove to make room. I was thinking of removing the 2 Goblin War Strike because while they are a cheap way to deal direct damage to the other player, Roast would offer much more defensive ability while still being offensive. I can kill creatures my opponent has that are either in my way, threatening me, or both. I also consistently run into the issue of, how many goblins is enough goblins to justify using one of my two Goblin War Strike, so more often than not I tend to sit on them. What do you think?
Ya, I agree it could be useful. I use that card in other artifact heavy decks. The reason I didn't select it for this deck was because I had Myr Galvanizer x4 and Obelisk of Urd x2, so I thought it would be a bit too much focus on beefing up my Myrs and not enough focus on producing them. I prefer Obelisk of Urd over Tempered Steel for this deck despite it's 6 CMC versus Tempered Steel's 3 because: Obelisk of Urd is purely colorless, reducing the (slightly) restrictive need for two plains, it can benefit from convoke to further reduce mana cost, and it can be brought back with Reconstruction.
I will try and add a description, but unlike the other decks I've posted here, this is the only one that is purely hypothetical. I will look into the cards you have mentioned for sure, but the reason I didn't include Basilisk Collar is that if I do end up buying this deck to play with my friends, that card is fairly pricey.
