Deck discussion for Nosferatu ;..;

Vampires are cool. About 80% of your local high school girls can tell you that but a strong deck(tribal or not) needs to be able to make moves on turn 1 and turn 2... and turn 3... In fact if your standing still you may as well paint a bulls eye on your anus and say "right here, as hard as you can!!!"

4 1 drops is about 6.5% to be in your opening hand. If you play the ponies you know that is a suckers bet.
10 2 drops(half of which are Urge to Feed and Feast of Blood, both need creature on the board to be worth while or even usable)

My point is your going to start actually playing the game on turn 3(on average). a good aggro deck has killed 1/4 of you life already and control or combo decks don't care cause you took 2 turns to do nothing.

Took out a few high mana cost creatures and put in 6 more one drops to help defend early.. also count towards Creature - Vampire type.

Are there any other red/black one drop counters I can use in place of some higher mana cost creatures?

Kalastria Highborn cost [B][B] or in other words 2 black mana and would require leaving black mana open in the event that 1 of your vamps goes down for it to be usable. This looks like an aggro deck and the golden rule of aggro is no mana left behind.
Quag Vampires is a 1/1 for 1 or a 2/2 for 3 or a 3/3 for 5... that's garbage... Pulse Tracker is a 1/1 and can do damage even if it gets blocked.
Red is famous for direct damage spells to creature or player. i find it hard to believe you cant find something for 1 or 2 mana.

Oh and Vampire Nighthawk is sexy even if it is a dude...

I took your advice on Pulse Tracker instead of Quag Vampires.. PT is much better than QV. I put more Kalastria Highborn in place of Guul Draz.. As for direct damage I wanted to keep more of the vampire theme to this deck. I didn't set out to make this an aggro deck just a vampire themed creature-based deck. If it turns into a vampire themed aggro deck I wouldn't be mad :)
