Deck Description

Standard, Jund midrange - control...

How to Play

Protect yourselfe with the huge amount of removal, than score the win with these biggies...

The mana curve is actually less than high & the deck's faster than it might looks...

With Reaper, you alwayes scy when you use a removal, or when your opponent taps the Demon... ...with this many removal, your opponent won't be able to stop Desecration... :)

I like Caryatid, because it's a mana guy wich cannot be shot...

Auger Spree is very useful, since it can be either a boost for the Demon, Reaper, Colossus, or a Monsterous Dragon(watch out for shots & - / -, when you do that), & it can also be a removal that goes through indestructible... ...it can also assist Jet, or Mortars with a bigger creature.......

About the sideboards:

Gaze is mostly against tokens & fast aggro decks with 1-2-3 mana creatures... ...your creatures - except for Caryatid - are 4+ mana...

I use three types of cards(a total amount of 8) that can destroy/exile enchantments, because there are quite some creatures & artifacts that are also enchantments & there are also many effective enchantments in standard today... ...though I can only deal with the gods & their tools with Fade into Antiquity :) ... ...Abrupt Decay from mainboard can also destroy some of the enchantments, Detention Sphere for example.......

I think that's all that needs clearing...

Enjoy!..

Deck discussion for Consume the Heroes

I actually love the look of this deck so much.

The Auger Spree looks super interesting. Does it do a good job of taking out gods and other threats as well as boosting your creatures as well as you want?

Thanks!

Auger Spree is good against indestructible, but gods are 5+ toughness, so I need at least 2 of it to take out 1, but that's why I have 2 more in the sideboard... ...Fade into Antiquity is better at taking out gods...

As I stated in the description, Spree is perfect for a boost in this deck, since my creatures are big enough to be used on, even Stormbreath, when it's monsterous... ...tough when you do that, you'll need to be watching out for shots & -/- from your opponent...

It's very helpful to have multyfunctional cards in a deck, 'cuz it narrowes the deck & you can put in more stuff that you need & it also usually makes your hand more relyable... ...it also makes your future moves less predictable for your opponent...

I love Auger Spree, since it came out & there isn't many players who used it so far... ...I've had 2 of it(+1 in sideboard) in a Grixis deck before rotation & that deck won me 2 FNM-s & another for one of my friends & we've used it a total 3 times, so it pretty much worked out... :)

This deck looks really nice, the curve is beautiful plus some nice removal. I have never been a fan of Gaze of Granite but it may work nice for you; If you need another single target removal don't forget Putrefy is Standard Legal too.

Thanks! :)

Yeah, I know about Putrefy, but artifact removal is not too relavent now... ...may be for stuff, like Pithing Needle, but I can deal with that by Abrupt Decay as well... :)
