I've always wanted to build a mill deck outside of mono blue and UB.I've seen turbo fog decks, but I didn't want to run all the artifact/enchant to let my opponents draw too.So I made this to efficiently protect myself, while keeping tempo with draw card and throwing plenty of blockers with Talrand.
The deck is mill. Dump all of your mill spells, but you're probably going to want to save some for when you can play Talrand turn 4. Thought Scour and Sleight of Hands give you some good draw, to keep some tempo going.The Jace's give you some good draw and some very efficient milling action.Of course Fog, Silence, and Moment of Silences are just to prevent your opponents from harming you. Also good spells to get your Talrand going.Augur of Bolas can go two ways. He can either fix you up and give you some card advantage, as well as being a nice blocker on turn 2. But, sometimes he makes you get rid of that Talrand or Jace you needed.Then we have our potential win condition. Since this deck can experience some long games, you're going to notice. Your graveyard is full of cantrips, mill spells, and your post-poners. Psychic Spiral let's you shuffle them all back into your library and then in return mill your opponent for that amount. That has the potential to be that last little bit you needed to run their deck dry.Of course, if nothing else you can beat your opponent to death with a bunch of drakes. That is up to you :D
