Deck Description

Yo, wassup? The boss of dat bitchin' deck here is Captain motherfucking Eminem:

" Preeminent Captain
Creature — Kithkin Soldier 2/2, 2W (3)
First strike
Whenever Preeminent Captain attacks, you may put a Soldier creature card from your hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking."

When he is about to hit town, he has always his posse around, the D19: Auriok Survivors, King D of K, Raksha Golden C, Cap Cool Watch, Pally Watchers and of course his OGs! When Eminem calls, these hiphop soldiers bust the scene!

Dat deck is tight and has some bling-bling (Maze) which isn't necessary but fly. Eat that, budgetfucker.

I know you wanna tap that!

How to Play

Get Eminem's ass out on the streets asap and use him to get his bros. Snoop on your rival gangs and protect Eminem with your Reconnaissance measures and his bling (Maze). Your gang is nothing without him. So, if he loses a shootout or becomes the victim of a drive-by shooting, give him a comeback with Emeria, Gift of Immortality or MC Sun Titan.

Check out Raksha Golden C, he mad skills on the mic: Enter a battle with eminem, Raksha joins also battling and if there is one of the gangs Glocks (Veteran's Armaments) around, Raksha will immediately go BAM-BAM with at least 7/8 doublestrike to the face, bitch!

Peace, out

Deck discussion for Cpt. Eminem & his Big Soldiers

Replaced one Gift of Immortality and Reconnaissance each to make room for 2 Unquestioned Authority. That one rocks on Captain Eminem. It doesn't save him from removal spells, though, that's why I also replaced one of the Armaments with Swiftfoot Boots.

Like for Flavour! =D

Also, get one or two "Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion" up in this bitch. Double Strike wrecks toys, playa.
Useful for multiplayer, as well. You could even use it in conjunction with Darien to get more tokens (if you got the life points for that).
One thing though, Palisade Giant generally cancels out Darien, maybe you'll want to look into that.

Ah, yes, adding the single Sunhome that I have :)

About Darien and Pallisade Giants: You are right about bad synergy between them. However, a single DK is all I have, so I don't think I'll have both out at the same time very often. More importantly, it's for multiplayer, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I just realized that the Unquestioned Authority is SICK on Pallisade Giant! It basically means that boht me and ALL my creatures are completely immune against combat damage, offensively as defensively! Guess I should run 4 of them then ...

Alrighty, I get "better safe than sorry" in multiplayer. And Unquestioned Authority on Pallisade Giant does indeed rock.
For more immunity and another great effect, check out Iroas, God of Victory. Could fit as well.

And I just realized that Reconnaissance and First Strike work well together, too. You can still deal First Strike damage and then remove the creature from combat/untap it should you wish so. Maybe that's a thing you'll want to benefit from some more, I dunno.

Oh, and since it's for multiplayer and you're going for Giants and Soldiers alike maybe you like Council Guardian, as well.

Reconnaissance and first strike: I am not so sure if that is possible anymore under "new" rules where damage doesn't use the stack anymore. And even if so: I have no room in the deck to emphasize on that subtheme (also, a regular of my group has a deck basing on Reconnaissance). But great finding!

Council Guardian: I opted against him because in the end he would just be a 5/5 with protection from the currently least desireable colour. I'd rather add more Sun Titans.

True, damage doesn't use the stack anymore but First Strike has its own combat damage segment where players gain priority. So it's possible. As you said, putting emphasis on it would stretch the deck's theme too far though. Still, it's good to know since Eminem, Raksha and Sunhome can get you in these situations.

Speaking of Raksha, I think you would be better off without it since your deck features no other cat creatures. Raksha is awesome but it really doesn't live up to its potential that way, especially for seven mana. Instead maybe add something with lower mana costs like Kor Duelist, Hearthfire Hobgoblin or Ordruun Veteran because everything else is rather expensive. Smaller creatures also work better with your Sun Titan.

Enlistment Officer would fit as well, sieving through some cards, possibly getting out your Eminems faster. Also it does work for the Tribal Equipments.

I thought of Council Guardian more like a finisher. With boni (bonusses?) it's almost assuredly a 8/10 trample vigilance creature that's probably unblockable.

Raksha: He actually gives himself his bonus. The reasoning was that I will get all my bros out via Eminem anyway, so it doesn't matter if he costs 6 or 7. And the idea was that, with an Veteran's Armaments in play, Raksha would come into play via Eminem, auto-equip the Armaments and then attack as at least 7/8 doublestrike, which would make him the hardest hitting of the bunch. I know there are no other cats and that this requires 3 cards, however, see, this is a fun deck, a cute side project, and I try to make use of my collection. Raksha was sitting my binder for ages but I never felt like doing a cat deck (actually tribal decks are in my top 3 least favourite deck types to make).
This is why you put more effort into this deck than it is worth, I wish you would instead check out some of my other decks that could actually need help:

This one I am totally stuck and will probably abandon the project.

http://www.mtgvault.com/puschkin/decks/biting-shamans/
http://www.mtgvault.com/puschkin/decks/oath-of-thieves/
These are still in brainstorming stage.

And this one is almost complete (missing some cards that I have to order) but it probably needs help, too.

I will return the favor twicefold and comment on any of your decks you want.

Just a quick response: Entering the game and attacking through Eminem doesn't trigger the +1/+1 bonus of Armaments since technically the freshly entered creature was not announced as attacker in the declare-attackers-segment (which would be the thing that triggered the ability).

I'll read the rest later when I have more time.

It says "Whenever this creature attacks or blocks" not "when this creature is declared as an attacker". Since it is put into play attacking it is, well, attacking and should get the bonus. You might still be right of course, the question should be forwarded to my Magic lawyer :)

"Whenever this creature attacks" is synonymous to "when this creature is declared as attacker". It's not declared, thus it doesn't get the bonus (Chaining Eminems is impossible as well). Sorry. :/
Raksha does of course get its own bonus from being equipped making it a 5/6 with double strike when entering per Eminem plus Armaments.

I just got 3 Deathrender for cheap. What do you think, should I put some in here? In mean if Eminem doesn't work for whatever reason, then I have to hardcast the other bros and they all cost 6. So Deathrender might be very useful in this.

Hm? You don't really need to hardcast them. Eminem's ability is fine, it just doesn't trigger the "when it attacks" stuff for the creature put into game that way.

Some instant-attach-equipment possibilities for the creature you put onto the field with Eminem could be Hero's Blade (for legendary creatures), Sai of Shinobi and Ronin Warclub.
Deathrender seems nice as well. Maybe two of those and a Hero's Blade/Ronin Warclub? Or one Render and two Clubs/Blades?

With "if Eminem doesn't work for some reason" I meant "if all my Eminems get plowshared, lobotomized or if I don't draw them". In my playgroup you just can't count on a single key card to do all the work for you, you absolutely need a backup plan.

Ah, that's what you meant. In that case Deathrender seems like a very good addition indeed. Maybe another Emeria, Sky Ruin, as well? Or a second Gift of Immortality.
Faith's Reward could also be to your liking.

Sneak Attack is a (very expensive) method for alternate casting. Could fit since you're already splashing red.

One copy of Emeria and Gift of Immortality is all I have. I think Deathrender it is - also because it brings varity to the deck. If I add more ways to reanimate Eminem, then the deck becomes annoying and cumulates in a "do you run out of removal before I run out of reanimation spells" race. Deathrender means I have an alternate way to play the deck.

I sold all my Sneak Attacks.

Yes, Faith's Reward is to my liking. I recently picked one up for cheap, this might as well be it's new home, thanks.
BTW, I commented 2 of your decks. Don't know if I'll comment on the remainig ones since I despise Type II and won't be of much help there.

I saw your comments, haven't gotten around to checking out all the suggested cards yet though. But I already saw that you suggested Infiltration Lense which I didn't know of. Really like that one! Thanks for the input, I'll let you know what I think.
Concerning Type II, it's something I dabbled in for the first time as I love to have some restrictions/limitations in deckbuilding. The decks aren't extremely competitive, I guess, although I might check out FNM with one of them. Thus, should you take a look at them, disregard the "Standard Meta" and just comment on their capabilities. :)

Okay but it's painful for me either way because I am always like "oh, he should add this - nope, not Standard. But maybe ... nah, neither." You know what I mean. But I like your style (you include roleplay elements/flavor, add cards in singles or 2-ofs and are generally more Johnny), so I hereby promise to check out the other ones, too :P
