Main Deck (56 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

My newest standard black white lifegain deck.

::thanks everyone for making this hit front page. :D third one of my decks to hit it.

Question, i feel like it needs just a little more aggro, for when Chalice won't kill them. what should i sub? or should i?

Deck discussion for B/W lifegain [standard]

I think the manna base is kinda funky on both of the decks but I'd run this one rather than the other. If I were you I'd make this deck 13 plain and 9 swamp and cut the divine favor. Not because you have a lot of double W cards, because you don't, but because I worry you'll have to mulligan too much because of inconsistent draw. When Guildcrash comes out and with it cheep W/B duels (Orzhov guildgate) they will help you and keep it standard.

Here is my budget standard http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390559 and the better version I broke down and bought http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=394477

solid deck. something i would enjoy playing if i wasnt such a Dimir freak lol. Personally i like the idea of Ajani simply because this is a life gain deck his ultimate really helps to work with you after you jack your life up a bunch. i agree with semper as well about the divine favor...

tips on my Izzet self mill would be nice :)

I put tragic slip in for a sideboard, mainly because I play a friend who plays a stuffy doll deck...>.>

Not bad, expecially for 18$!.. :)

U should get 4 Isolated Chapel & play 2 Evolving Wilds tho... U could have an impossible opening hand by playing only basic lands...

Make sideboards!

I'd suggest Rest in Peace, Tragic Slip, Oblivion Ring &/or Find Hunter...

Check out my Grixis, if U R interested: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=391163

Solid build simple concept I like it, my only concern is your land I would suggest Evolving Wilds for 2 reasons:

1 it lets you have the ability in the event of a GREAT hand but you didn't draw the plains or swamp you needed to fix your mana

2 After you pop Evolving Wilds it thins out your deck a little so your chances of drawing more useful cards increases.

Other than that is probably wait for Gatecrash lol.

i love evolving wilds, and i'm going to put it in. ive honestly never really thought about how it thins out my deck slightly. yeah, things will change once gatecrash comes, im sure. gotta get those orzhov guild gates!

the perfect combo for a B/W lifegain deck in my oppionion is tormented soul+celestial mantle, it makes for a ton of lifegain :p

but celstial mantle isnt standard :/ (as far as i know, im not quite sure lol)

the mantle is not standard, as it is from zendikar block. I've been wondering about this deck type. Looks like a lot of fun!

I'm not sure about 21 lands... Usually you only play that many if you are playing lots of weenies or mana ramp...

i mainly threw in another land simply to hit sixty because i'm against singletons.

isolated chapel, i plan on getting a playset, along with some evolving wilds eventually. but with my local traders, i'll probably just pull an orzhov guildgate or shockland out of the upcoming set sooner

You could put in a couple of Ajani's Pride. It could very usefull if you want some cheap big creatures. You could also put in some Soul Warden...
But I have also made a life/gain deck but with a combo.
Check it, if you have the time:

I love how much lifegain you have here. And for the decks price it really can't be beat.

Here is my Life Gain.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=396360 Here is my Life Gain.

Its all about throwing counters on Daggerdrome and Nighthawk. Its not unusual for me to have creatures with 40/40. And if those creature's aren't Daggerdrome or Nighthawk I also pack Essence Harvest and Jarad to bypass Blockers. Tell me what you think.
