Excellent title!

Jesus. I just realized that this is a $140 deck...
May I recommend a crap-load of card drawing and more land to pay for Lorthos' ability? Some Counterspells to protect Ula's Temple wouldn't hurt, either.
Endless Whispers would also be funny with the Persecutor.
Control decks are probably always going to own this simply because that's what they do. All of your other problems can be solved by adding more creatures. You can't really build a "Fling" deck with only 10 creatures. Vexing Shusher will shut down counterspells Bloodshot Cyclops, Brion Stoutarm, Soul's Fire, and Arena/Magus of the Arena will give you more Fling-iness Creatures with fading (Ancient Hydra, Phyrexian Prowler, Keldon Marauders, Lavacore Elemental, Waning Wurm) or echo (Keldon Vandals, Shah of Naar Isle, Volcano Hellion) will give you big creatures for cheap. Persist is also a good option.
Thank you sir. Gotta love it when the mana curve comes out right when you aren't paying attention to it.
Since most of the combos are green and black, add Conspiracy and Turntimber Ranger for 3 different infinite token combos.
Marrow-gnawer + Thornbite Staff (+ Grave Pact for fun)
Ran out of room.
I picked Giants and Merfolk because Sunrise gives creatures Trample (and Borderland Behemoth is insane), and Merrow Commerce is incredible. If I were to go green, it would be for Treefolk (Timber Protector and Dauntless Dourbark), not Elves.
Touche, good sir. In that case, I'm gonna drop white (the most expensive color in the deck money-wise) and add Conspiracy (to turn all my creatures into plants) and maybe splash some red for burn and Valakut.
Not bad. I personally would add more small creatures simply for safety's sake. But still a thumbs up from me.
Will do.
I would agree if I were playing 1v1. I only play 3+ free for all, so the games tend to last longer. Life gain keeps me in the game, and I've always felt better with 70 cards in my deck. Foolish, I know, but it seems to work for me. As for speed, it's only been an issue against something ridiculously fast like goblins or squirrels. I usually have the most creatures on the table, even against horde decks. I actually used this in two headed giant tourney (teamed up with an infinite turn/infinite deck stacking control deck I built) and did fairly well. The defense is out of this world.
Swap to black to add Conspiracy. Then throw down some Turntimber Rangers. Infinite Sliver Allies. Yay!
Not bad at all. I'm not too familiar with these mechanics, but I'll think on it and see if I can't think of some decent advice.
I thought the same thing about those dudes until I used them. They're INCREDIBLY versatile. It's nice to only have to pay 1 mana of any color to get off a Counterspell. Yeah, thy're cumbersome, but the possibilities are overwhelming.
I'm retarded. Djinn Illuminatis would never work.
Agreed. i was just thinking about Baku Altar and Spirits and Arcane spells. I might go with Esper colors and add Djinn Illuminatus and Spiritual Visit. Replicate the Visit as many times as possible to put a crap load of counters on the Altar. That's about all I can think of. Spectral Procession was the name of the card, and those are definitely going in.
I'll look into how the whole Haunt mechanic will work with Humility. Isochron Scepter isn't really necessary, but it does help divide their attention. Humility is much more likely to survive when there's a Scepter with a board wipe on it... i just need to find the right way to go with creatures. There aren't too many ways to make an army that don't rely on creature's abilities.
